Picky has already found her hiding spot and of course, its the one place I dont want her to make her nest at... underneath my darn bed!!! She climbed into the lining of the underside of my bed and is making herself quite at home!
My kids are so excited, Angel is 7 now so its about time she got to see a litter of kittens born and Picky is a wonderful mommy but this year she's having them inside so we can watch and help if necessary. I do believe she was once and inside cat but for the last year and a half my mother has been taking care of her... they made a shed just for her, put heat in it and fed her many times a day but this time she decided to let us catch her! Her last years kittens just disappeared and shes so plump... hehe I can't wait! Ill put up pics of her growing belly just as soon as I get them!

Perhaps she did! Cat mothers like human mothers are quite aware what may be best for their children. So they CAN accept captivity if it means security for her children.

Is she used to your children?

But even if she is used to them, let them be verry careful. Both for her and for themselves.
It is a stress moment for her.

And most moms are protective. Even homecats have been seen to scratch the family child coming too near.

Good luck!

Well folks its been a while since Ive been able to get to a computer to update you on the status of Picky!
SHE POPPED! She had 4 kittens she was seriously overdue when she had the babies and unfortunatly we lost one 24 hours after birth. Due to the large size of the kittens her birth was very long and hard. The babies are very beautiful of course, 2 looked just like the mommy but one of those ones was the one who passed away, it was the largest one that didn't make it, she's over the bridge now.
The other two kittens are black and white and have very unusual markings! Their names are MoMa (she has a grey mohawk and looks like her ma so MoMa!) Then we have the twins, the first one is Diamond Donut Jackson (she has a diamond on her side, shes round like a donut and has gloves just like Michael Jackson
) then the other is Dweazle. He has squigles all over him and is just so cute!
Mommy has been very good with them and has made sure to teach them everything they need to know right down to litter box training, it was so weird she's an outside kitty and gives hugs and kisses now even though she was wild! She's so smart! I can't wait to get the pics up, I have tons because they are always being so cute. They're 6 weeks old now and I'm keeping at least 2 of the kittens as well as the mommy but if I do decide to give one of the kittens away it will be to family because they want one and wont be for another 6 weeks I want to make sure they are ready and have all the shots they need! I'll keep you guys posted on the babies!

All kittens are adorable, but please do yourself and your cat a favor and get her spayed asap before she has a chance to get pregnant again. It is unfair for her to leave her intact even if you are keeping her inside. As you can see, accidents can happen, and every kitten she gives birth to means another kitten is destined to be killed.

Not only will she be happier after being spayed, she will also be healthier, as neutered cats live longer and are less prone to disease.
