A couple of my kitties have developed daily rituals without fail.

Azizi is always SUPER loving in the mornings. When we're trying to get ready for work he's rubbing around our legs and will nip at our feet/ankles which is his way of letting us know that he wants to be picked up.
Every morning before I go out the door I have to pick him up. He LOVES to be held and will purr and purr in my arms while I walk around with him. It's like he says "No Mom, don't go to work, stay here with me!"

Teyah has recently started her OWN ritual. I work out almost every evening on my recumbant exercise bike for an hour. Right beside the bike is a small craft desk. Well now, every evening while I'm working out, Teyah is up on this desk and will paw at my arm and headbutt me until I pay attention to her and pet her the WHOLE time I am exercising...
She's just trying to help me workout my upper body as well as my lower!

Too cute!!

We definitely have our rituals around here... I've posted some of them in other threads:

When it's time to wake up, Holland likes to sit on my shoulder and pat my face or hair with her paw (as you know, though, she's upped the ante... I thought she was going to attack my head AGAIN this morning, but she didn't
).

When I'm on my computer, Holland sits on the back of my chair and pats my shoulder (PAY ATTENTION TO MEEEEEE!!!!!)

I always try to play with Holland about an hour before bedtime. Sometimes she's up for it, sometimes not. Regardless, it's inevitable that she manages to be wound up EVERY night at bedtime. She probably has my bedtime speech memorized by now: "Well, you can run around all you want, but I'm going to night-nights. You can either play by yourself or join me." Seriously, that's pretty much what I say to her EVERY night...

Every evening around 7:00 she is ready for cuddle time. If I am not sitting on the couch, she will cuddle on a fleece blanket that I always keep out (though I always try to make myself "available" for cuddles).

My cats think any time DH walks in the door, they are supposed to be fed.

Daisy makes sure that everyone has heard the alarm clock. She doesn't quite get the concept of the "snooze" button: when the alarm goes off, you are supposed to get up. (Isn't that why you set the alarm in first place?)

Aw, I love the rituals our cats develop with us. And, you know what? It doesn't them very long to do so.

I do the Bounce with Boo pretty much every morning. He goes in spurts; sometimes he'll go for a few days, not wanting to Bounce, then he wants it every day. Right now, he's in an every morning thing, so we've been Bouncing pretty much every day.

Amber loves her Sip. She's gotten into the habit of coming into the kitchen right around the time DH and I are finished cleaning up after dinner. She'll waltz around the corner, sit down, and start meowing. And every meow gets a little louder until I get the Sip from the fridge. After lapping every last drop, she gives a little meow (almost like saying "thanks!") and then goes back to bed.

Every night I pick one cat to brush. But as soon as I get their grooming tools out of the bathroom closet, they all come running. Ms. Pepe loves to be brushed, so right around 7:00 or so, she'll come find me and start to meow. I think she's reminding me that somebody, preferably her, needs to be brushed. I love brushing and combing them because it gives me a chance to feel around their bodies and make sure that everything is OK. I check their fur, look for any scratches, lumps, and such. I always groom one cat very well every night, so I know that that one is OK. The rest of them get brush strokes as they sashay by the brush. When we had six cats, I used to say that I chose a different cat to groom every night....and on the seventh night, I rested.

Also, although it is not a DAILY ritual (thank goodness), Holland recognizes the overnight bag I take out of my closet when I leave her alone for a night. She sees me pull that bag out and get it packed, and she sulks like you wouldn't believe.

Aww I love kitty daily rituals!

Every morning between 6:30 - 7:30 am, my kitty jumps on our bed, rubs his wet nose in our faces, and then settles down on the pillows between me and my Fiancee. I roll over and get a nose full of fur every morning when I wake and want to give my DF a kiss. My kitty does not sleep with us, but I always wake up to him purring away on my pillow between us.

Lets see:
1. Neko always wakes up early in the morning, not sure what time but its before my alarm clock, and tries to knock thing off the headboard... like my glasses! Im so blind and then i have to search for them under the bed. Its become such a habit that I wake up when i feel her walking above my head and I stop her.
2. When i do get up and i'm doing my hair and makeup, she will ritually bring me her ponytail holder for a game of fetch. "MEOW" nonstop until i toss it.

These two things happen EVERY morning!

The fetching meowing happens again in the evening when i come home from work.

Larry's definitely got his rituals. He stares at me until I get up, then follows me around while I make the coffee and then feed him.

His new ritual is really funny. I have the bathroom door closed when I shower, and afterward, I open it up and he's right outside and comes running in and sits on the edge of the tub and chases the drops of water on the curtain!
He'll stare at them, with his head cocked to one side, then put his paw up and bat at the drops, then he'll lick the drops. It's really funny. Since I know he'll lick the shower curtain, before I turn the water off I rinse the soap off the curtain.

At night, his ritual for his supper is this: I sing my version of Irving Berlin's "Suppertime", he hears me singing, his ears perk up, he follows me into the kitchen, and as I'm spooning out the canned food, he's put his front paws up and sort of "waves" with one paw and I have to lean down and kiss the top of his head.

I also have to kiss the top of his head at night when I go to bed and the last thing I do is put a little more dry food in his bowl. He'll stand in front of his dish, look at me and sort of raises the top of his head so I can kiss it.

These rituals happen every single day.

Oh my goodness what cute/fun furbaby stories.

When my alarm goes off at 4:45 in the morning, my gal jumps up on the bed and proceeds to knead my arm/underam area for a good 20 minues until I have to get up.

Then while putting on makeup, she will sit on the counter with me.

Feeding time seems to be the second I walk in the door from work and not one second later because dontcha know she is positively STARVING (even tho she has plenty of dry kibble)

Computer time means she lays across the computer desk or stands (which I love cause then I can't see the screen)

I'm enjoying reading these.
