Photo Contest Entry Thread: March 2010 - Do You Dangle?

Thread Starter
The theme for March 2010 is: Do You Dangle? This is all about those cats who seem to have to dangle something off of the best spot in the house (where the cat is, of course!). It could be a dangle-paw, or a dangle-tail, or a dangle-head, or a whole dangle-butt! If this still isn't clear, just watch for a few entries.

Basics:
NO CATS CAN BE HARMED FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS CONTEST! Mildly annoyed, yes, but not actually harmed (pretty much goes without saying).

1.Only one entry per month, but you can change your mind and submit a different photo during the submission period.
2.No photo that has been featured in a past TCS Calendar can be submitted again. However, photos that were not in the top 3 (or 4 as the case may have been) can be resubmitted if they apply to the theme of the month. Additionally, photos can be submitted for more than one month but can only be voted in to the Calendar (top 3) once.
3.Rights to the winning photographs are granted to www.thecatsite.com for use in future TCS projects made available for purchase to other members and the public.

Photography

1. Photo and all rights must be owned by the submitter.
2.Photo entry must be at least 480 x 640 pixels, with higher resolution/size availability (by email) preferred.
3.Photo must be clear, focused, not manipulated by Photoshop (basic altering such as cropping, brightness, etc. is allowed) and apply to the theme of the month.
4.Photos that do not necessarily meet #2 and #3 can be entered, but will not make the final voting rounds.

Please be sure to tell us the name of the kitty(ies) in the photo, for award/future purposes.

The prize will include points, a custom signature and bragging rights for having the first, second and third place Ms. or Mr. December. The 1st place winner will also have a copy of the 2011 Cats of TheCatSite Calendar sent to them when it's finished. The calendar will include at least the top 3 place cats (possibly more depending on how close the votes are) from each monthly contest!

We also need to mention that winners will be asked to email full sized versions of the photograph to a moderator, and winning images will be used for future TCS projects made available for purchase to other members and the public (see above).

Deadline for submission is March 24, 2010.

All members, moderators, admin, and site owner are eligible for this contest.

The list of themes can be found in this thread: http://www.thecatsite.com/forums/sho....php?p=2829906

Well, what perfect timing, to get internet access at home just in time to entry the March contest, when I happen to live with the King of Danglefooting. Picking the perfect image will be more of a problem than finding one!

I love it! It's certainly clear enough on my monitor. What is your kitty's name?

We just don't have much in the way of "danglers."

Eithne - I think you need to rotate the picture of Peaches clockwise a turn?

It was a hard choice between a pic of Lulu and this old pic I have a kitten one of my cats had years ago.... the kitten picture won out, lol!

(The story to the pic is in what you CAN'T see...which was the 2 giant standard poodles standing at the bottom of the post staring up at Patches, the kitten. She LOOOVVVVEEEDDDD taunting them by letting them come right up to her and then skittering up the post before they could get her. ROFL!)

Very cute entries! This will be a tough vote!

I have to show both photos so you get the whole picture. Bitty was sound asleep in the open window enjoying the sunshine. I took more than 2 dozen photos and he didn't move!!

This is the one I'm entering for March.

Molly's my dangler. Sometimes I wonder if it's just the fact that she's a big girl and doesn't fit in spots as well as my other 2, much smaller cats.

Wow, all the entries are so good!

Here is mine of Zoey. Both of mt babies are not really danglers, but they used to be when they were young. On this picture Zoey is so tiny. I can't believe how much she has grown since then!
