This was taken by putting the camera down on the pavers on the front walk - this is under the front stairs!

Sometimes they dig under the fence and get in our pecan tree. They have never bothered the cats and the cats have never bothered them.

We have a lot of possoms here. A friend and I rescued one a few winters back when we saw him crossing barran, windy field. The rehab people said he had frost bite and was very malnourished.

Since then, even tho people think they look like rats (not to me), I always have a soft spot for them, and every other creature under the sun!

What an adorable little friend you have there, bless you for giving him a safe warm home at night! Yes, your little guy is missing part of his tail, possibly lost in an accident, all the better that your providing a home for him because it's more difficult to make a bed to sleep in. I'm so glad you know that opossums share space well with kitties, in fact, my ferals often eat right along side their possie friends!
