Help!!
My mother thought she was doing a good thing by giving my cat milk.
Meatloaf drank probably a cup or more of it while I was at school.

Will this hurt the babies?? She is between 59 and 63 days pregnant. I'm worried, will it kill the kittens???

I don't think it will hurt the babies, but it will probably give the mama diarrhea.

If the milk wasnt funny or wasnt infected by something (common milk sold in common shops is healthy) the kittens shouldnt die nor be affected.

Many cats manage with milk. So with a little luck nothing will happen, and the milk was helpful - like your mom hoped.

But quite a many cats, especielly grown ups, doesnt manage milk - so she may get some diarrhea yes. With a little luck it shouldnt be worse than so.

IF she gets diarrhea, watch out of course, so it isnt too much.

It is the milk sugar, the lactose, many cats (and some adult humans) cant manage.
Low lactose milk is better in such cases, if you really want to give them milk.

Tell us, what happened afterwards... Diarrhea or nothing much?

Good luck with the delivery!

Give her lots of water so that she doesn't get dehydrated in case the milk gives her diarrhea. Other than that, 99+% odds she and the kittens won't have any ill effects.

Hi, sorry I didn't come back to update. She did not get diarrhea but she got some HORRIBLE gas. I mean, she was letting loose clouds of stink left and right for several hours. LOL.

But she's fine now!

Thanks everyone
