Cats adjusting after death of senior cat

Our senior cat, Speedboat, has been gone since Janary 25th. He always slept in a box with Muffin. Mattie had her own as we could never get her to sleep with them. They live outside in a confined fenced in area. Since he died I have been putting them in the garage at night in a large cat cage to keep Muffin warmer and also to help him not be so lonely. Last night I saw Speedboat just for an instant in my dream. I was walking in my house. When I turned around, there he sat, just watching me and then he was gone.
I went outside today to sit with the cats and I couldn't find Mattie. I knew Muffin was in his box. I looked in Mattie's box and she was not there nor anywhere in the yard. I went back, stooped down and looked in Muffin's box and there she lay, in the box with him in Speedboat's usual corner. I didn't know if to laugh or cry. I believe maybe Speedboat made an appearance to let us know everything is alright. Cats have their own way of working things out, don't they.

Do you have anything with his scent you could put in the sleeping area ? Rescue remedy and other bachs essences may help as some of the OTC calming aid s also help( CAT ones) ....

Oh Barb, that is wonderful. As they say there is more that goes on in Heaven and earth than we are aware of.
