Prayers for a good result on an MRI

Hi Everybody,

Six months ago I wrote about the results of an ultrasound that revealed a carotid artery stenosis. I went to the specialist and he said in his opinion it was an error and to take the test again in sixth months.

Well, it's been about six months and I just had an MRI done and I am waiting patiently for the results. The doctor that took the tests said I would have the results in two days but it's been six days and I haven't heard anything. I don't know whether this is good or bad...What I do know is I am tired of waiting and may call the doctor tomorrow.

Please send prayers and vibes that everything is all right and that the test is negative for a stenosis.

In my experience, you have to call for just about anything. Whether it be for test results to an update on whether something is/will be fixed.

I hope you can hear something back tomorrow.

I'd call the doctor. In my case, because I didn't want to be a pain in the doctor's rear, I waited three weeks before I called for the results of an MRI. The paperwork somehow "got lost". And then it took 2 days to get the new paperwork.

Call your doctor; it's important. And I wish the best for you.

Just got the results back- There is no stenosis. It's clear. Apparently the ultrasound was an error. I am so happy!

Of course, I'm still left with a ringing ear and I can hear my heartbeat but I'll take what I can get.

Well most of the time the old adage, no news is good news is true. I hope you do get good results and by the way I would definitley call the doctor. I'm impatient so I would've called him after the two days had passed.

If you can hear your heartbeat, have they checked you for mitral valve prolapse? I ask, because I have it, and that's one of the issues, you can hear your heartbeat.
