My friend's little tortie that he adopted is gaining strength daily since he brought her home. I am so proud of how he is turning his life around because of this baby.Her URI is almost gone and she has gained 1 1/2 pounds!! She falls asleep in his arms and he calls me every day so Turtle can "talk" to me. He was off on Friday and he called me at work to tell me she pooped for the first time at her new home!! And I thought I was bad... He has also quit smoking and is stopping the liquor as well. His new outlook on life is that his most important priority is Turtle. So it looks like these two souls are saving each others' life. Non cat people don't understand how a tender young weak kitten can save the life of a full grown 200 lb man!! I get the honor of watching this relationship grow every day. It's a joy. He thinks that everything she does is cute and genius. She stuck her tongue out yesterday and he had to call me and tell me how cute that was!!!! She stood up on her hind legs to look out the window and he thinks she is the smartest cat in the world now. She does all the amazing things that all cats do and he thinks she is the only cat that can do these things. I don't have the heart to tell him that she is doing what ALL cats do. It's a wonderful thing to watch.
