I found the text in this book spot on, but the illustrations aren't helpful at all. Good over all book

This mat caught my eye because of its size and texture, which traps fine litter rather well. It's large enough for jumbo litterboxes, which is also a plus. It's not quite as easy to clean as a...

This scoop was a freebie with some clumping litter I bought last year, and I like it so much that I've bought a second one. It's perfect for fine clumping litter, which it sifts very thoroughly....

A good list is
-a litter box (some people suggest 1 per cat + 1 extra)
-litter (I use SweatScoop)
-food and water dish
-a mat for under her dishes so they don't slide around
-I feed a good grain free cat food (Taste of the Wild) and 'premium' wet food (Wellness and Eagle Pack Holistic)
-I use SoftClaws nail caps or a scratching post/mat will also be good
-a bed
-some balls/stuffed mice toys
-a 'fishing wand' toy.
I took her straight to the vet after I acquired her. She got her first round of kitten shots, wormed, and her ears cleaned/medicated because she had ear mites.

Feel free to ask as many questions as you need
Do you have a cat or a kitten?
I have an odd (okay, very odd) tip to share. Usually I buy clumping litter, but for those times I buy a non-clumping litter (I call them "crumbly" litters), I scoop with a non-slotted chef spoon (dedicated to cat care) in order to clear the litter better (see the pic below, the middle 2 would be good)

If you use a standard litter scooper with non-clumping litter, it can be frustrating.

Have you got any ideas where you are getting your kitty from? Maybe someone on here can put you in touch with a sphynx breeder.x

Yes, a carrier would be good. I use a cheap fleece blanket folded up in the bottom of mine for a cushion or an old towel would do as well. You may also want a harness & leash. I usually will put on Storm's harness then put her in the crate that way when we get to the vets or wherever we're visiting I can have a better hold on her.
