I went to the gynecologist on the 24th of Feb. Two or three days ago they called and said my urine culture came back showing signs of infection. (I have interstitial cystitis so I was kind of expecting this)

My question is: why am I hurting more now after starting Amoxicillian? It's my lower back. They never told me if it was a bladder or kidney infection.... just an infection. I read my RX pamphlet and it said the medication is filtered through the kidneys. Should I be worried that I'm having such bad back pain? I do have an appointment with the urologist on Tuesday. Should I call the prescribing doctor tomorrow you think or just wait it out?

Are you drinking enough water? I know when I don't drink enough water my kidneys hurts. You might need to drink more because of the meds. But I would call the doctor just in case

Cll back whoever gave you the medicine and tell them your condition. One thing my doctor always tells me to do is drink cranberry juice all the time. When on antibiotics, I eat Activia yogurt because of yeast infections caused by the antibiotics. Women have to deal with a lot of things.
