Morning.....

Here's an easy one: What temperature is your heating or AC set to in your home?

Heat is at 71deg F. I refuse to freeze because of high heating costs. I live in a cold climate and probably will my whole life. I just refuse to be cold to save money for the rest of my life. I build it into my apt. rent costs.

65 degrees F. It's coolish in our house during the colder months. We have an electric blanket on the bed because I cannot sleep if I'm cold. (The cats like the blanket, too.

I keep it at 70-71 in the winter, but DH likes it a lot warmer. I caught him turning it up to 75 last week - the day after we got a heating bill that was twice what we paid for the same kilowatts we used during the same time last year. I taped that bill over the thermostat so he has to move it to turn up the heat. He still bumped it to 73 the other day. It's set at 70 right now.

In the summer we rarely use the A/C unless it is very hot and raining so we have to close the windows. Then we set it to 85. Ceiling fans work very well in the summer.

We both really like heat.

I don't get to control the heat here. It's whatever the building is set at, which is usually too warm. I try not to complain too much though because I am glad we have heat. We had 2 days this week with no heat because it broke and they couldn't get it fixed for 2 days. It was freezing in here overnight. Thankfully I have a stackable washer and dryer so I had the dryer running all day which warmed it up a bit.

Right now mine is on 63 degrees, it's very comfortable in here and the temp outside is in the low 40's.

Heat is at 68-70. I'm not sure about the AC - think we keep it on 70. We try to keep the temps about the same all year round.

Trapped in the catroom! ;o)
The heat...However hot the wood stove decides to burn which sometimes depending on the wood I actually have to open windows to push some cool air in and get some of the heat out because I cant breath. During the summer I prefer open windows till I gets so hot I cant breath then the AC goes on high. We have two window units and only turn both on when its deathly hot out. Other than that its only one on at a time.

Heat is set at 77 Air is set at 80.
When it's 110+ outside, 80 feels downright chilly

Our temp reader thingy is on a cold wall, so it's set at 60, but it's somewhere between 67 and 70 inside.

In the summer, we set the AC to keep it about 74 in here.

During the day it's at 73F, once the sun goes down and the house starts to cool off more it goes up to around 75F - though some nights that's too warm and it gets turn back down to 73F.

Summer is 75-77F.

As another person said, I refuse to freeze. I don't have the blood pressure or body fat to keep myself very warm. Once I get too cold no amount of blankets or clothing will stop me from shivering - that gets very painful so I prefer to keep the house warm enough.

We opted in to some averaging thing on our gas. It can make it a little higher than our use for a couple of the summer months, but keeps it cheap in the winter.

I have no control over my heat, and whatever standard my building has to meet is way warmer than I like, so I dont know the real answer, but right now its about 6" open - the window that is!
