Morning peeps!

Welp, today is my Friday!!

Hubby was at school all weekend last weekend so we are playing catch up tomorrow since he has Fridays off now

So excited!! Oh so I will be too busy sleeping in to d othe daily thread tomorrow

I have a hair appointment this Saturday too!

I love getting fresh new hair cuts. I am trying to grow my hair now, so just a trim and getting a little bang as well.

I'm off until Monday, woot!

Mom will be picking me up in a couple hours and we'll be off to do a bit of shopping. Other than that I just want to RELAX on my day off and curl up with my kitties and a book.

Maybe I'll buy a bottle of wine or 2 while I'm out as well.

Morning,

Today I'll be defending my dissertation. I have to convince 4 faculty members that my work is important enough and different enough from anything done before to earn a PhD. Right now I'm going over my slides while Tre sits on my lap and supervises. If all goes well, I'll get my paperwork signed and all I'll have left to do is make a few edits on my dissertation before I submit it.

After I finish up, I'm going to take the rest of the day off. I'm going to try to take my parents out to dinner tonight if all goes well. Either way, I don't expect to be going in to work tomorrow, so I'll be joining the others here who have a three day weekend.

Good morning! Three-day weekends rock! You lucky, lucky people!

Bright and sunny outside this morning. Right around 30 degrees or so.

We went to my in-laws last night for a good dinner. She made lasagne....I'll always eat lasagne.

My afternoon in the field was fun. We did some measurements, checked to ensure berms and swales were built in the right areas and walked around in the mud, snow, and cornfields. Fun! (But I'm glad I wore boots.)

Took a huge chicken breast out of the freezer last night for dinner tonight. I'm going to divide it into two pieces and then stuff them with crab. mmmmmm Good dinner.

I have a test today so I am up really, then I'm going to go home and celebrate the end of a really hard week by catching up on episodes of Chuck. I'm newly addicted to that show. I might read a little if I can find something interesting on ereader..
That's it for today for me, it will be a pretty relaxing day after the test is over.

Morning.. very bright ad sunny indeed. I'm still not liking this cold though. Oh well, I'm only here for a week.

I need to go out soon and walk downtown to get 2 bags of peanuts, one for tonight, and one to bring back to CA with me. There's a store that roasts its own peanuts and they're so yummy! I'm rarely in the mood for nuts but these are so fresh and good.

I also need to do some beer shopping and pick up a few bottles to share with my good friend Chris who I always hung out with on Thursdays after work. He's coming over after he gets off work, we will talk about everything and nothing, and share some tasty beers too. And some of those peanuts! I can't wait!

Well I better get going then, get my errands done with. Have a good day and 3 day weekends people!

I am on the way out to get my mammogram today, then to the library to pick up a book on hold, then to the Red Lobster for a late lunch, so far it's a good day :-)

Good afternoon everyone!! Im tinkering around with my sewing machine trying to make a liner for the bag I just made. I needed to take a TCS break because Im about ready to wing my fabric into my wood stove and sing burn baby burn while its in there!! This liner just isnt going good for me today!! BUT bonus of the day I get to dog sit for my "nephew" Leo because his mommy is having some problems potty training him and I volunteered to help while she works odd shifts. So yahooie Franklin gets a buddy to run around with and I get a giant lab puppy to snuggle with!!!
