As I have mentioned before; my friend has been wanting to get a cat. I took him to a local shelter so he could save a little life. It was a very heartwarming experience for me to see him fall in love with a beautiful,long haired tortie. He spotted her right away, but we looked at all the cats and held a few and played with several of them. He kept going back to this sweet, shy little girl curled up in the corner of her cage. He didn't want to put her down and she didn't want to leave his lap. I think the love was mutual right from the beginning. The one real problem is that she is very sick. She has a URI and needed to go to the vet before coming home. She can't be spayed until she is well. The man at the shelter actually tried to talk us out of getting this baby because of it!! Well you know that good things are worth fighting for and my friend was determined to have this sweet thing. So yesterday we picked her up from the vet, equipped with her antibiotics. She goes back in two weeks to be spayed and micro chipped. She is absolutely precious you guys. She is thin and tiny and gorgeous. Her name is Turtle. I am praying that she beats this illness now that she is away from the other cats and in a loving home. My friend says he will love her back to health and I believe him. So please pray for our little tortie Turtle. And I will keep you posted. I feel like a bragging parent and she isn't even mine!!! I will try to figure out a way to get photos. I am trying to get him to fix his computer so he can join us here. He wants to learn as much as he can about caring for her. Thanks for your prayers and vibes!!!!!!!
