BooBoo has many names: BooBoo Bibberman, the BooMeiser, BuddyBoo, The Boy, and Mr. Boo. He is the resident RugCat male in the house and he likes it that way. He's Whisper's "little" boy and Ms. Pepe's brother. We called him BooBoo because as a kitten, he looked like a little bear cub. But he didn't look like a Yogi, so he became BooBoo.

Our Boo is quite the character. When he was younger, he spent a lot of time leaping from the floor to the top of the bedroom door. He'd walk along the top of the door, then make a flying leap to the bed. We started to call him the Flying RugCat. He also loved to position himself on top of the chairs in the kitchen and then play with his tail through the openings in the chairs.

BooBoo and I do The Bounce almost every day. After I get my shower in the morning, I'll dry off and throw on a t-shirt and underwear. I'll open the bathroom door and Boo will saunter into the bathroom, jump up on the toilet seat, and sit there and meow. I'll walk over, he'll reach up and put his paws up, I'll pick him up and off we go. I sling him over my left shoulder (kind of like a sack of potatoes) and bounce him through the house, singing, "Mama's BooBooMan, Mama's BooBooMan, Mama's BooBoo, Mama's BooBoo, Mama's BooBooMan!" This goes on for about ten minutes or so, me bouncing and Boo playing with my wet hair and purring like crazy. Finally, when we're done, I'll go back to the bedroom and flop the boy on the bed, where he'll curl up and go to sleep. There are times when he feels that our bouncing time isn't enough for him, so he'll leap off the bed, race over to the bathroom, and we'll do it all over again. I've never been late to work because of The Bounce, but it's been close more than a few times.

He also loves to help his Dad with household tasks. As soon as DH gets the step ladder out to do something, Boo is right there. He loves to climb to the top of the ladder and su-purr-vise. He's gotten his tail painted more than once. We used to shut BooBoo in the bedroom while DH was working on a task, but he cried so much, we felt that it wasn't fair. Boo enjoys being with his Dad and, well the truth is, his Dad likes it, too.

We try not to let the cats on the kitchen table, but, well, The Boy has a mind of his own. He thinks the table is his and he can lie there any time he wants. DH doesn't help matters; he says that because Boo is the resident feline male, there are times when he needs to get away from all the kitty estrogen, so the table belongs to him.

You've seen him with his Treat Machine; I had posted a picture of that a while back. Here are some other pictures of our BooBoo.

Here he is when he was a RugKitten. He did look like a little bear.

This shows our BooMeister walking along the top of the bedroom door. He loved to leap off the door onto the bed.

And here's Boo as a 14-year old handsome cat.

Thanks for looking.

He sounds like a total character! What an awesome 14 years you've had with him. I couldn't deny him anything including his morning bounce even if I was running late.
He really is a gorgeous cat.

ReeRee likes to "bounce" in the middle of the night.
He meows till I pick him up and make a short walk of the house bouncing him like a baby than say "We go sleep now" and put him down, he follows me to bed and climbs up to settle in.
I didn't give in to him last night and he kept me up for 4 hours meowing from 3 to 7am.....I just should have gotten up and in 5 min I would have been able to sleep.
