Morning peeps!!

I am so excited, I just heard that my wedding dress sold at a charity show, so we get half the profits and the other half goes to Diabetes research

We could use the money plus we get a tax receipt for the donation!! Yay!

Off to work in a bit...and then cardio fusion class tonight...(ugh..lol)

im not doing much today, i just finished my dinner, minestroni soup yummy

its nice and sunny today and not really cold, looks like spring is nearly here

Kudos! Money is always good, both for you and for diabetes research.

We're right around 38 degrees this morning and it seems fairly calm outside right now. It should be a enjoyable walk today.

Taking BooBoo and Bootser to the vet after work. BooBoo seems a little laid-back; he's eating OK, but just doesn't seem his normal self. Just to play it safe, I called for an appt. And Bootser is due for her rabies booster. We don't do the other shots anymore (worried about sarcoma at the injection site and our vet doesn't push them anymore and they are geriatric indoor-only cats), but we have to keep up with the rabies booster for them. I think they both might be due for a dental, too, but I'm not sure. It's just best to get BooBoo in for a good check-up right now. Since we have geriatric kitties, they now see their vet at least twice a year, depending on what's going on with them. Sometimes we take them more often.

And that's pretty much it. DH requested spaghetti for dinner tonight, so I grabbed a container of sauce from the freezer to thaw in the fridge.

Not much happening here today. We'll check in on the kitties we're kitty sitting on the way home, I'll workout, spend some time with the fster kitties and hope to curl up and relax with a book later tonight.

Good morning to all!
Woke up to the ground covered in snow again this morning... I am getting so tired of this. We have doubled our usual amount of snowfall this year! But on the bright side it meant I got a call from work that I didnt have to come in because there arent many dogs and I got first chance since its my birthday!

And now I am laying here in my PJ's waiting to decide what to do for the day! I am going out with some friends for a birthday dinner tonight at Mellow Mushroom so I am super excited about that! And who knows, we may go to a movie or something afterwards!

Afternoon,

I stayed up until 4:30 this morning finishing up slides for my dissertation defense. I've been putting them off for way too long and they were finally to the must finish right now stage, so I decided that I wouldn't go to sleep until they were finished. I woke up at about 10:30 and saw the snow coming down. Here in the valley, it was mixed pretty heavily with rain and what accumulated earlier is pretty much all melted by now.

Given my late start on the day, I decided not to go to work today. I'll be spending the day making edits on my dissertation for my advisor and revising the slides. I have my defense Thursday morning, so it's pretty much full speed ahead until then.

But it's cold!

Sorry, I never liked the cold, and I definitely am spoiled by the mild weather in SoCal.

It's nice to be home, staying with my mom for a week, my room's still got a bunch of my junk in it so it still feels like home after almost 3 years. Going to catch up with a some other family adn friends too, it'll be good. And I get PURR! Polly (the tuxedo cat up there by my name) is a purr machine. Genever is not. Well she purrs but silently. So it's nice to get to hear a big purr and also get in some belly rubs. Polly's got a BIG belly and she likes it to be loved.

Anyway, have a good day, I'll try to not feel too cold while I'm here... but 40, yeah that is cold.
