Since I was rudely awaken from mine
my question is on sleep:

If you are woke up, are you able to go back to sleep right away or does it take a bit?

How about when you go to bed? Are you asleep pretty fast or does it take you 20mins or ? to fall asleep?

Do you generally sleep through a night (barring any rude awakenings, ex. cats wanting something, fire alarms going off, etc.)?

If I'm not sleepy I'll lay there for hours unless I get up - being preoccupied thinking will keep me up, too. Depending how tired I am it can take 5 minutes or it can take 30.... it also depends on if I can get comfortable or keep DH from snoring.

Once I'm asleep I'm usually good and have learned to sleep through all but the most disturbing of noises in the house. (power going off instantly wakes me because lack of sound) I do get up at 5 am to see DH off to work.

If I get woke up I can usually get back to sleep easily.

I usually read before I turn the light out, and then fall asleep pretty fast.

Generally sleep through the night.

I have a bad habit, from early childhood. If I were to read before going to sleep, I won't end up going to sleep until my eyes burn too much to read or until I finished the book (usually the latter). Hence while I'm up right now..
I used to sneak a flashlight and read most of the night when I was little.

I envy my husband..... within 5mins or so of laying down, he is out.

Me, even when tired and ready for bed, usually takes me 20mins or so to fall asleep.

I'll wake to use the washroom, but am able to fall back asleep within moments.

However, I get nights like tonight, where pain woke me at 2:15 and its now approaching 5am.
I will try to nap, but as of late that hasn't been successful.

My sleep varies....some stages I do well, others not so good.... but the basics are that I've always taken a while to fall asleep (even if I read or watch tv or whatever before bed), generally can fall back asleep if woken by bathroom or the other night it was our hydro burping causing the firealarms to go off, very rarely do I sleep through an entire night.

I can easily read a 300-500 page book in one night, with a minimum of 100 pages per hour - if it's fiction. Other stuff goes a bit slower.

Speaking of pain and not sleeping. Looks like 13 hours later I'm paying for eating pizza. I'm not laying down for a while now.

It depends. If I fall asleep on the couch first, I have a harder time going to bed and falling asleep. Generally, I sleep well, wake up one time to go to the bathroom and then go back to bed. No problems usually.

It all depends on what's going on in my life. Sometimes my head will hit my pillow and I'm out. All night. Other times, I'll lie there staring into nothing, waiting to finally drop off. I usually have a bathroom break or two. Sometimes the cats will awaken me for whatever reason.

One of our cats, Bootser, starts meowing for breakfast anywhere from 3 to 4 in the morning. I get so frustrated with her that I'll shoo all the cats out of the bedroom and shut the door to grab a few more minutes.

DH will tumble into bed and, within a minute or two, he's snoring away. That's frustrating!

I have been known to stay up all night to read a good book. The last time I did that, I went into the book store at midnight to grab the new Harry Potter. Came home and stayed up all night and part of the morning to finish it. Then I toddled off to bed, all bleary-eyed.

I usually fall asleep within 20 minutes or so during the week - weekends may be different because I may have slept in too long.
I am easily woken up but usually can fall back asleep right away. I'll get woken up by DH, cats, neighbors sometimes. And that pesky alarm clock that I snooze for like half an hour.
I used to have to sleep with ear plugs when I was renting because I would hear everything my neighbors did and it would drive me absolutely insane.
I heard way too much of their personal life.

I usually fall asleep within minutes of lying down. And, most of the time, the next time I open my eyes is in the morning - and I'm usually in the exact same position!

If, for some reason, I wake up in the middle of the night, I'll fall back asleep right away.

There's no place like home
I usually need to read for a bit to put me to sleep. Normally I wake up once in the night for the bathroom, but otherwise sleep hard. I've woken up in the morning to find deep long scratches from the cats playing race track across my body. That doesn't wake me up. Storms and loud parties don't wake me up.

But once in a while there are nights like the night before last, where I couldn't fall asleep for nothing, and finally gave into it at 3AM and just got up for the day. I had a miserable day yesterday but slept sound out of exhaustion last night.

I sleep easily enough, just not for very long at a stretch.
I'm also a very light sleeper and frequently will have people come over and wake me after I've gone to bed.
Not their fault, I leave my door unlocked and I sleep with the TV on and usually some low lighting.
My friends are used to just coming on in and the hours I sleep are never the same from day to day.
I can get back to sleep rather easily though.

I usually fall asleep within 15 minutes or so, and sleep relatively deep, although with a potty break or two, but then fall back asleep pretty quickly.
For the most part I don't wake easily, but if I am woken, it depends on the reason, whether I fall asleep easily or stay awake. Such was the case at 2:48 this morning
when a stupid neighbour's alarm went off and then didn't stop for close to an hour and a half. Don't ask! Maybe this will be the report that gets him evicted, but by that time, I was too would up to fall back asleep and the last time I was aware of was 5:14. 6:45 came early.

I am a terrible sleeper.
It takes me at least an hour on a good night to drift off, and then I sleep so light anything wakes me up.
I also have a weird thing where I get sinus trouble if I am sleepy. My eyes itch and I sneeze constantly. If I wake up and try to go back to sleep, it's like I am allergic to the tired feeling and it really sucks. Get up, go pee, sneeze, sneeze, blow nose, sneeze more, curse at the night in general, sneeze more, more nose blowing, It's odd and I hate it.
