"Finnegan, you're such a silly, silly boy!"

That's exactly what I said to my little cutie-patootie once I was finally able to breathe again after laughing so hard I almost peed my pants
!

I was getting undressed for the night and had put my boot (I'm wearing a boot for an achille's tendon rupture) in the closet. Once I had my pj's on, I remembered I left my my ankle wrap downstairs and slowly limped down to get it. Well, when I got back into my bedroom I couldn't find Finnegan anywhere. And, since I had shut the door when I left to go downstairs, I knew he hadn't gone anywhere. I saw Cassidy sprawled out on my bed. Delaney was laying on the sofa in the living room. And, Emory was on top of the cat tree downstairs. But, where was Finn? I looked everywhere -- seriously, it must have been 10 minutes of non-stop searching! The closet door was open so I knew he wasn't in there and because of storage containers under the bed I knew he couldn't have hidden there. Where was the little bugger?

I was beginning to get frantic when I heard a very muffled meow. I looked up, down, and every which way to no avail. I really thought I'd started to go cray! And, then...another meow. I still couldn't pinpoint it and called my roommate up to help me look. Again, a faint meow. Now we were both going insane! But, then, right in back of us, there was a crash. We both turned around and looked straight into the closet. And, what did we find? My boot had toppled over to one side and there was a very furry, orange tail hanging out of it
!

It seems my little Finnie had gotten his big tush stuck in my boot! And, when I pulled him out, the little purr-box was so proud of himself. Why, might you ask? Well, my pipsqueak must have started playing with one of his toys when I went downstairs for my wrap. And, while playing with the small, knit mouse, he must have tossed it and caused it to fall inside of my boot! I guess he was just trying to retrieve his toy when he got stuck in the boot. The boot is fairly roomy considering my injury causes swelling and requires a wrap underneath it, but I didn't think my kitten could fit inside -- especially not my kitten who, when just weighed at the vet, was 5.6 pounds! It was hilarious! I almost dropped him because I was laughing so hard and both my roommate and I had to run to the restroom right after since we almost peed our pants! I can't even remember the last time I laughed so hard. I just wish I had had my camera on me when I saw his furry butt hanging out of the boot! Priceless!

I guess Finn knew I needed a laugh tonight
. God, I love that kitten! He really is a silly boy!

Hilarious, thanks for sharing! I love starting the day with a giggle.

My cats never did anything fun like that with my stupid boot. They were afraid of it and I had to sit on the floor and let them inspect it for several nights before they would stop running away every time I crashed through the house.

Is yours the kind that goes up to the knee and has about a zillion noisy velcro straps?

I've learned with cats, never underestimate what they will try to fit into. They will prove you wrong every time.

My boot goes right up to my knee, but not over it. And, yes, there are about a zillion velcro straps that my cats are not too keen on. But, not Finnegan! All of my other kitties are leery of my boot and, while they're not necessarily afraid of it anymore, they aren't going to get too close to it either. But, Finnegan is not afraid of anything (seriously, he's not!) and he's always trying to bat the velcro strips and attack my foot. I knew he wasn't scared of it, but I didn't know he was brave enough to go inside of it. I mean, I don't even want to put my foot in it
