is anyone watching the Bachelor?

I normally don't watch that show but I've seen half an episode here and there...
It is on tonight and I've been flipping through it, not watching all of it- but OMG it's so intense, I feel so sorry for both girls.
I don't think I can watch that show anymore, ever because it's too sad. I keep thinking why on earth would anyone want to do what Jake Pavelka is doing to himself and to these women?? Falling for more than one woman and bringing about so many intense emotions, IMO they are not all positive. Especially since being that close to more than one woman means his feelings for the other woman once he makes the choice are not going to go away, like it has been demonstrated by previous seasons...
I don't get how that show can even exist, lol..
But I know there are many fans..

I like Tenley better than Vienna honestly she is a lot more classy and sweet.

I do watch it but not religiously. I predicted Jake would choose Tenly. I was wrong. Hate to say it but I think the reason was sexual chemistry/sexual instinct. Some like it hot. He just didn't wanna say it straight up so he was like "I don't know how to word it" for me the show's a guilty pleasure. the real world doesn't work this way. if you watched the aftershow, that woman Allie never made any comment about being happy for Jake and Vienna - she was hypergiddy like a 12-year-old so I assume she quit her job - how absurd (yet I watch

Nope. I don't understand the fascination with shows like this. I'm not being smart; honestly, I don't get it. Do these people agree to do those shows to get their 15 minutes of fame? Maybe it's just me. I may have watched five minutes of one of them.

I usually don't watch that show either but I did watch it last night because I wanted to see who Jake would choose. He seemed really confused about what he wanted, so I hardly think he will actually go on to have a lasting relationship with Vienna. Choosing Tenley would have made more sense.

I don't know why but I decided to watch the finale since I had some free time. I know nothing about these people, but I got the impression that Tenley was fake - trying to be sweet and lovely, but it just didn't seem real.

Vienna seemed a lot more real, but immature. Every time she said something stupid followed by "just kidding", it drove me nuts. If you don't mean it, then don't say it.... It may have just been nerves.

None of them can go in truly expecting to fall in love, and truly BE in love. None of the previous people have had any luck, and you CAN'T fall in love with someone in such a short time, knowing he's kissing other girls and going on dates with them and not having a real life. The premise of the show is stupid... It's about lust, not love, which is why Vienna "won".

Actually, there are a few couples that are still together or married

I agree with you for the most part though...like really, how can you expect to fall in love in a couple weeks. It's a terrible idea for a show.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I started mid season and didn't see much of the girl drama. I did notice how relax Jake was with Vienna. I thought it was just physical but the activities they did were usually outdoors and adventurous. I didn't see that with the other girls. They seem to share the same passions and that's important too.

I really don't like Ali. When they did that epi on her leaving I knew by how much they showed that she was the next Bachelorette. I loved Gia and thought she should be the next Bach over Ali. Ali just doesn't have the personality for me to watch on tv.

oh what a great idea! i would watch that. and yeah Ali - what a joke. she had such strong feelings toward jake and vienna and said nada about them on the show. i think she's all about me-me-me

who did you like best? the bar-owner was hot (the one who chose to stay single at the end). the o'connell guy was handsome but i didnt watch his season. i didn't watch the british bachelor either but he seemed alright looking. the very first bachelor was nothing marvelous to look at imo.

percentagewise, it's a small percentage and the show should be embarrassed by it. but in their defense, the divorce rate nowadays is high

I didn't watch it, but Tenley is from Newberg, OR. I deliver the mail in that area and there was a lot of buzz about the "hometown girl."

According to the Wikipedia page, only one couple from the 13 previous seasons are still together. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bachelor_(TV_series)

From season 7 - O'Connell chose Sarah Brice to be the winner but he did not propose to her. Instead they took a chance at a relationship. They broke up in September 2007,[10] but got back together in 2008 and are planning a wedding.

Yeah, I would have to search, but its definitely more than one because two couples are married, and then I know of at least one other one that are still together but not married yet.

Lol, I don't think the show helps people find real love far from it, but I do think it can make people fall in love temporarily, or just become infatuated with each other, and the women come off as really desparate (or the men if it's the Bachelorette), besides the girl who slept with one of the producers Rozlyn who is now selling a sex tape got accused of cheating and I'm just thinking "wow, here is Jake cheating on 25 women, she just had one guy and got kicked off" lol...

I liked Jake but the guy on previous season was ugly IMO (I think his name was Jason?)
