We ave 3 cats. Spike 7 years old, Buffy 7 years old & Lizzie 6 years old.
Buffy & Spike we actually adopted(cost a small fortune) from an Animal Center. They are about 2 weeks apart in age and love each other. They were about 3 months when we got them. Buffy has ALWAYS had issues.....something must have happened to her prior to 3 months because she has TRAUMA. The ONLY person that she truly loves is my mom. She always allowed her to pick her up, pet her, brush her etc, no one else. Also if she ever walked past anyone, she would practically crawl on the ground..like she had been beat. The fact is, she hates everyone except Spike & my mom. May of last year, I took my mom in for a simple surgery...they brain damaged her and left her physically & mentally totally impaired. She has been in a sub acute unit ever since, and is NEVER coming home. So now its me in our home with these 3 cats. About 3 months after my mom was gone Buffy began to poop in her own bed, blankets, everywhere in their room(they have their own room with 13 huge windows and 5 cat gyms, beds etc....and 3 cat boxes) it made me crazy, everyother day there would be cat ^&%$ covered in a blanket, hidden in one of the cat houses, or in her bed. So I started her on 5mg FLUXOTINE(prozac) and the behavior quit....we have been poop free for about 3 months....but it did NOTHING for her personality. My BFF does the cat's nails, and Buffy is a hand full, she hisses, spits, bites & stratches. This morning I have a gash in my chin and stratches all over my neck & chest. She is small but very strong. I mean, she is a mean cat. My mom is never coming home & I am at a loss because Buffy is NOT A pet.....she just is. I mean Lizzy was rescued six years ago and she was pretty feral, she lets me pick her up, pet her, she'll come to me.....and SPIKE..OMG he is the MOST loving, kindest, sweetest, smartest, prettiest boy in the world, hes also the size of a dog....I need some guidance, other wise I am going to be in the ER one of these day. She has ALWAYS acted like this, but without my mom here its worse. and I have tried bach's, stress sprays etc....good god if Prozac doesn't mellow her.....I just don't know what do
