Wil's coming home tomorrow, I have a question.

I'm going to keep her in the bathroom for a few days. If she still doesn't eat would it be terrible if I let her back outside? It what she wants. I'm thinking that she'll it if she in her natural environment. She's been on meds a week. I'm going to see if the vet thinks convenia would work, because then I won't need to worry about medicating her for two weeks if she's outside. I just want to do the right thing FOR HER.

Until she's back to being much better, I wouldn't let her go loose. What I've had to do for outdoor cats before when ill, is rig up a cage or something for them to be outdoors, yet be contained.

Convenia is a good idea. Whether she's in or out, the less messing about she gets, the better.

I understand your concern, you're talking quality of life here. If she's too unhappy to eat, she will never get better, she'll just starve to death.

But do give it a day or two anyway. Maybe the relative peace of being away from the vet (and all the awful smells) will help her regroup.

You said you could bring in one of her outdoor houses?

Let us know how that goes. for Wil.

Aw, I'm glad Wil FINALLY gets to come home!!! It seems like it's been forever, and I'm not even her meowmy!

So glad she's getting to come home!! Woot! I would keep her confined inside for the next couple of weeks.

A word about the Convenia shot. It's a 2-week shot. Both of my cats have had it ONCE and only once. They were zombies the entire first week and a half and then they started perking up the end of the 2nd week. Another reason why you wouldn't want to get the shot and then have her outside.

I've used it on my ferals before. They were all fine. It's the only option usually when they get sick.

Okay, as long as you know about it, then you'll be okay.
