You usually gets a lot of sympathy and good advices, but seldom homes... So it is effective to seek also in another places. If some of the cats are used to dogs - seek amongs dogs owners. If some of the cats are supposed to be decent mousers - horse owners, peasants/farmers... A try at the churches - it IS easier to save and adopt a forlorn cat than save and adopt a forlorn sheep...
