More problems with Imogen...

She's doing much better now with the litterbox thing, but just yesterday I noticed something strange. She had a tiny tiny white dot on her nose that had not been there before and could not be rubbed off. I wondered if she had somehow bumped or scratched it. I also noticed that she seemed to smell a bit odd, but I put if off as hormonal effects of the Feliway or the possibility that she had just cleaned her nether regions or something...

Anyway, I get home from work today and do my daily kitty inspection, and there is a definite smell coming from her face area. She tries to nose-rub with me and I nearly gag. I wondered if she ate something funny, so I open her mouth to find two brownish-black sores: one on the roof of her mouth just behind her front teeth, and a smaller one on her tongue. The smell is atrocious.

I read that this could be some sort of bacterial infection, and that it may be chronic! I already made an alumni commitment for this weekend, and I won't be able to get her to a vet until Monday... what should I do? Can this be treated?

It sounds like a mouth ulcer and they are painful. Imagine it like a blister that's popped open and is getting gross. She needs to go to the vet ASAP, even if it's the ER vet. I wouldn't wait.
