Yay! The best smoked salmon ever is in my fridge!

I ordered it from Dejon Delights out of Haines, AK http://www.dejondelights.com/

It is locally caught and smoked and the shipping is much more reasonable that if I were to order smoked salmon from Pike Place Market in Seattle (also very yummy smoked salmon).

Hmmmm, how long can I make 2.5lbs last?

2.5 pounds?! Well, I hope it lasts a couple of days at least! Yummy.
How are you eating it?

Okay...if it was in my fridge....it never would have made it long enough for me to even post about it. And I'd have to beat all three cats away from the fridge. Yumm-eh!

Ohhhh! I love smoked salmon!!

I read somewhere that you need to either have tomato juice or beer when you eat smoked salmon. I can't recall exactly why, but I think it had something to do with the toxic effects of the smoke inside the food.

Might be able to find something in Google, but I don't know what search string to use. All I seem to pull up are recipes for smoked salmon with tomato juice or beer! LOL

I like to eat Smoked Salmon on crackers with cheese (and beer) or I have also been known to make sushi with it and some assorted fresh veggies.

I would have eaten it all by now, but hubby has a cholesterol test on the 6th, so we have to be good this week.

I'm not a salmon fan, or a smoked anything fan, but you have reminded me that I have been dying to roast a turkey breast, I enjoyed the one I made on Thanksgiving so much!

I had the F1N1 at Thanksgiving and had to stay home just me and the cats, so made my own dinner with a turkey breast. It was amazingly delicious and have been wanting another ever since!

To the store today!

.
Use it in sushi here too. Another easy good combo is a whole grain bagel, thin topping of cream cheese, topped with the smoked salmon, delicious!

Add a few rings of red onion and some capers and it's even more heavenly! Or try the same on a croissant -- a frequent special brunch in this house.

Ohhh, i haven't had smoked salmon in a long time! I sure would like some now... MMMMM I don't think my DH likes it, so it would last a little longer in our house!
