And I have questions.

I was told to put her in a dark room and let her sleep. YEAH RIGHT. She started crying the minute I walked out of the door and had to follow me downstairs.

Then she wanted food. So I gave her a little. Then I sat down to try to get my paper ready to submit. And the silly cat comes walking into the room with a highlighter in her mouth Wanting to play. Took the highlighter away b/c it's not really an appropriate toy.

I'm not playing "fetch" with her right now b/c she tends to jump and I know that's not a good thing for her.

It's nice to know that this spay doesn't seem to have affected her personality

Exactly HOW am I supposed to keep this cat quiet for 2 weeks?

Impossible, give up.

Just keep an eye on her surgical site. I wouldn't worry too much, if she feels like playing she's not having any pain, and if she's not having any pain, things are healing up fast.

You are doing good to not engage her in any jumping games, will she allow herself to be distracted by just a dragging string along the floor?

She'll sleep when you do tonight. Anesthesia makes them feel funny, and when they feel funny I think they feel too vulnerable to sleep.

Pretty true really. I've never had a problem after a kitty spay and I'm sure she'll be fine. She won't do anything that is going to hurt her, so as long as you don't encourage rough play, I wouldn't worry.

I felt really bad at what I did tonight though.

We have another kitty, Sneaky Pie. She's 9. HollyHeart adores Sneaky. They chase each other all over the house. Well, Sneaky's decided that she wanted to play with Holly, and I had to shut Sneaky in another room. Because they get on their backs and kick with their back feet, and that just scares me.

And to think- I was worried b/c I used a low-cost spay clinic instead of the vet! They were really nice there, and if we ever get another animal (and I'm sure we will one day) I'll use them again
