Recently I have been getting error messages when I visit the Cat Site Web pages which says For information on how your program can cause an assertion failure see the Visual C + documentation on asserts. At the bottom of the page it displays three choices to click on Abort, Retry and Ignore. No matter which one I click on the message block goes white. The computer either hangs up and I have to push, control, alt, and delete, or it sits there and after while the page changes and I get a message that says the tab has been recovered.
Does anyone have any idea what is going on with my computer. HELP

What browser (Firefox, Internet Explorer, etc) and version are you using? You can find out the version by selecting "About..." from the Help Menu. This is sounding like a browser crash.

I had just realized I should have posted that with my original post. I am using Internet Explorer 8, no add ons.

Well, there's your problem. Did you find a fix for it yet? If not, try compatibility view and making sure IE 8 has all of the updates it needs (patches to fix problems they've addressed so far). You can also downgrade to a lower IE if you find the need to do so.

Or you could join everyone else and use a better browser. Firefox and Opera are two of the best options on windows. I won't recommend Google's Chrome because it's spyware - but there are other browser projects using the same source code and leaving the bad stuff out, such as SW Iron or Chromium, that give a lighter weight faster browser than FF or Opera.

Well the whole thing has me puzzled as it only happens to me on this website.

I finally got this problem fixed. A person I know did whatever was necessary to reset Internet Explorer 8. I have not had any more problems. It was a real pain you know where.
