Redneck cat tunnel

Some people have crinkle tunnels, but not for my redneck cats!

The cats & dogs are too hard on the tunnels I've bought, so I happened across this on Menards while looking for something else. So far, they seem impressed. I intend to make it more solid, so it doesn't roll on them - and hopefully make it less of an eyesore! Even Izzy the little dog loves it.

Margo wondering what's going on....

Gus would love that

Hey, whatever works! It's obviously kitty approved.

What a great idea! I love a tunnel with white feet!

What a neat idea.....my kids would love having something like that.
You have pretty kitties, too!

The best cat toys are those not marketed as such Batman's most treasured toy is a big cardbox box flipped over but propped on something so he can pounce into it repeatedly I'm sure he would love this tunnel as well.

Great idea.

I want one of those for Dex & Isis...
tried to read what it is but could not figure it out.
What kind of store carries those and what is it called?

You could make a very simple device to hold it from rolling.

---------------------

The base is just a 2x4 maybe 18 inches long. The blocks on the end are just short pieces of 2x4 nailed on top of the base. Put one at each end of the tube, and it will keep it from rolling and also hold it up a little off the ground, creating even more places for kitties to lose their toys.

This is very similar to the blocking truckers use to keep pipe in place on a flatbed trailer.

I found it in Menards, it's called a Concrete Forming Tube. This particular one is 12" around & about 4' long, so I could fit in in my car.

Thanks for the info.

That's almost better than a cardboard box!!

Our babies are really pretty simple creatures. My boys love boxes and pens and crumpled up pieces of paper.

Your cats look like they're having a blast.

my friend built her 3 kitties quite the extensive kitty tree out of these, they come in several different size, she covered it in carpeting and voila, aparently she didn't even need the carpeting!

Madisons favorite toy is any of my plants he can knock over and spill on my (not so) white kitchen floor, at least they're easy to please

That is cute!

I saw those at Lowes and thought it would make a great toy. You know, you could even cut a 6inch section off and set it on the floor like a cat bed.

Great pics! Looove the grey kitty!

I was just telling the DH we needed to be on the lookout for one of those! So glad to see a positive recommendation for it!
