This guy just touched my heart and I wanted to post him here in case anyone might be able to help him or knows someone who could. I would in a heartbeat but with Cotton and Freya's less than stellar immune systems, I can't bring an FIV+ kitty into the household.
Big Boy is the featured kitty on thier homepage: http://www.torontocatrescue.ca/store/index.asp
Big Boy is an extremely sweet and affectionate boy who LOVES attention. In fact, he is not shy at all to let you know when he wants affection. As soon as you open his cage door he will wrap his arms around your neck and give you a big hug. He loves to be held and will sink into your arms purring in delight. He is missing his tail and has a tooth that sticks out which just adds to this boy's unique personality. Despite his age, he has retained his playful nature and loves to bat and swat dangling pieces of yarn.
Big Boy has the odds stacked against him as he is both diabetic and FIV+. FIV is not the death sentence that many people believe it to be. Cats diagnosed with FIV often live long, happy and healthy lives. He does needs insulin twice a day, as well as his blood glucose monitored a few times a week. Big Boy is URGENTLY seeking a very special adopter who is willing to support him with his condition.
