I am kinda freaking out but trying not to. I called the vet and am waiting to hear back so I can make an appoiintment. But until then I need you guys opinions on if you think her Feline Herpes could play any part in this.

She is naturally high strung so any other stress is not good. I just moved a little over a month ago and my sister moved back with me (her stuff probably smells like all the animals that were at her other place)....but her hair loss is just started this week. Well, where I noticed actually sparse balding areas anyway. She has been losing clumps of her hair on her bib for weeks now. I just thought she was getting it tangled when she groomed and thats why it would matt and be easy to fall out. But maybe that was a beginning sign to all this. THAT started when we very first moved.

She is losing it on the sides of her neck. I noticed only one side a few days ago and thought that ReeRee has done it when they were wrestling the other night. But today I noticed the OTHER side has lost hair also...just over a few days time! So, thats why I am freaking. It seems to be getting worse and I just hope it is nothing catastrophic. If it is stress it is super easy to treat and should get better real soon after treating it but if it is some other disease type thing....I don't even want to think about my poor girl being sick. She has had enough illness to deal with in her little life!

There are no scabs or scaling or irritation. Just hair loss. Some areas are not even completely bald more like a shaved look really. Anything you suggest I do in the meantime before I get to go to the vet? Feliway? Bachs? Special food? Anything really....I just want to help her. Thanks.

I don't think the herpes has anything to do with the hair loss, but stress certainly could. by all means plug in some feliway, and use the rescue remedy, but I wouldn't put off the vet visit, either.

Let us know how Fiona is doing.
