It is unfortunate that they gave her strongid... This could be taken care topically with Revolution, and her stomach would been spared... But it is a good thing that she kept down! Drontal, IMO would be a better option also... It's a tiny little pill, so easier to give than strongid.

About food - you really NEED to make her eat at this point. It's been too long now. A little bit of kibble is not going to cut it - her liver can shoot down, and she can be in big trouble... So you need to start being very proactive and really step in and syringe feed her.
Vets sell Hills Science Diet A/D, a high calorie, creamy and very palatable canned food that is perfect for that. You can also syringe feed her baby food. The brand I was told to feed is Beech Nut, as there is no onion and no garlic. (if you choose another brand, make SURE there is no onion and no garlic in it!!). Try to feed as much as you can; aim to 150 calories a day...
Do not leave it up to her... If it is too hard for you to do it, pick up an appetite stimulant from the vet - but please please this is VERY important... A cat stop eating can be disastrous...

The thing is, she WAS given revolution at her spay. It was included. So why she had an outstanding number of roundworms after being treated with rev. four days before I have no idea. I called the vet about a stimulant/anything to help her eat, and they won't give me anything without her being seen, even though I JUST had her there two days ago. So, I'm going to give that baby food a try. I just tried some canned food on her, and she spit a lot of it out, but she did get about a third of it into her. I'm going to be doing this throughout the day. God she hates me, but it's for her own good.

She ate!
It wasn't what I necessarily wanted her to eat, but regardless, she did it! I decided since she was poking her head into the fridge when I went to get something out, maybe I should try a little bit a people food. I had some turkey in there, and she ate it right up! She ate a few pieces, and I just tried to give her a little more (a few hours later), but now she's not interested. Then again, she may just be full. I also got her the beechnut baby food, it's bananna. Is this ok?

Thank you so much for your help!

I'm not sure a cat will eat banana baby food. You need a chicken, turkey or beef baby food. Make sure there are no spices, onion or garlic added.

The best ones are meat - like the Turkey and broth, chicken and broth... For the moment, you want calories in her... If she will eat the Turkey from the fridge, GREAT! Did you ge the syringe too? They sell at the pharmacy... or you can ask the pharmacist, and they will give it to you - the one I got was to give meds to babies, 10ml, sold on the counters on CVS. I don't think she will like the banana... It would be good to be meat... I don't thing it will be a problem though.

Thank you! My mom was the one who picked up the baby food, she said that was all they had in the beechnut. I will give it a shot, and if she doesn't like it, will try and find the meat.

I will continue to try the turkey with her. She really liked it earlier, so I'm hoping she'll eat more of it later tonight. And I do have syringes as well. Wish us luck!
She's definitely showing signs of improvement. She is 100% drinking on her own now, and is starting to eat select things it seems.

Great!

You can also try to boil some chicken breast and some rice... mix it up and give it to her... Kitties like that... It can be any baby food, but When I tried to find beechnut was the only ones without onions or garlic - that is VERY important!!! (toxic for cats)
You can also give her some canned tuna, or sardines... Walmart sells some pink alaskan salmon (canned) that is cheap and cats go gaga over it - you can try that too... Mix a little white rice on it, and give it to her...
Once she starts eating, you can slowly start mixing cat food in it and transition her back to it - right now just think calories.
Warm food is always better

Thanks again for your help!
I'm thrilled to update that she is eating/drinking all on her own now!
She started 2 nights ago with some tuna, and now she's eating her canned food/hard food without issue. Her little tummy must finally be relieved.
Still a few more days on her metronidazole, and her other dose of strongid, and she'll be back to new!
Oh, and she's got her cone off now as well, and getting back her old spunk.
You guys have been great!

Thanks!
It feels so great to see her getting back to her self. Who would have guessed all of this because of a spay?

The only negative thing that came from this recovery is that she now meows at the fridge for food! lol. She must have really been watching where that turkey was stashed.
I'm guessing she'll stop, but I find it pretty funny, lol.
