Fortiflora - YUMMY, they say!

ok, WHAT is in that thing????
I swear, besides being an excellent probiotic (ok, it's pretty much a butt plug if your cat has diarrhea ), that thing is TASTY!
I mean... I am afraid of my cats never eating their food without it again!
You can mix that powder with water and put it on a little saucer, and the kitty will lick it to the last drop!
Mix it with water and make a gravy out of it and pour it over the food- they will gobble it up!
Seriously, big time trick to add to the list of things to do if your cat is not eating... It sure worked for Hope... I am just afraid of when she doesn't need it anymore

Purina HAS to make a seasoning for finicky cats just like that...
Damn that thing is tasty!

I wonder if it is ok for a diabetic and thyroid cat? I'll have to check with the vet.

Is it expensive? What is in it?

My granddaughter is very finicky. Will it work on her? (just kidding)

Only if she is furry, feline, has four legs and a tail.. and says meow!

It's pricey... something like a dollar for a little packet online... someimes it is discounted.. but yes... it works a charm. I used it for one of my boys who was on antibiotics. Cleared up his diarrhea in about 3-4 days. Best to use simultaneously only I didn't know such a thing existed at the time.

Yes, it is pricey... At the vet I paid $32 for a 30pack... (good for a month); At Amazon, you can get it for MUCH cheaper, $19 free shipping... That is a deal! Too bad when your cat has diarrhea you need it chop chop. Nothing beats the value of Bene-bac though, so my kitties are out of luck!
But Ding! They LOOOOOOOVED the taste of it! LOOOOOOVED it!

I have heard the tasty part before ...

As for the granddaughter ,lol, it would not a be a complete probiotic as cats have fewer strains

another fan here. marvin has had periodic bouts of diarrhea in the past, and fortiflora has always straightened him out lickety split. the first time i got some i was afraid i'd have a hard time getting the contents of a full packet into his belly each day since i mix it into his wet food, and sometimes he leaves a bit of food behind. with the fortiflora, his plate was ALWAYS completely hoovered. good stuff!

can it be used just to get a finicky cat to eat or does he have to have bowel probs?

Yes, Sarah sometimes meows. (strange, but I love her)

Forti Flora is a probiotic (someone asked what it is)

An excellent probiotic, and yes, good for kitties gone off their appetite too, just sprinkling a little on top of the food, not a whole packet.

I don't think it is meant for long term use. I have had the same experience here, all the cats loved it, even the finicky one.

But I wonder what the expiration on it would be? Could you buy it at that price and have it on hand??? Hmmmm.....

They definitely do not have a real long shelf life.I had some packets here and hadn't used them in a while, and when I went to use them, saw they were past the expiration date, so I did not use them.

Reached for the probios instead.

for how long have you been feeding it? Has your vet said it is ok for long term use?
