Our newest addition came to us in an interesting way. DH got a phone call from an old college friend that said "I saw you on Facebook, saw you had a pit and was wondering if you want another. I have 1 8 week old female left and I want her out of my house." No questions asked we went over and took a look. Well the poor lil girl had food bloat, tear stains and was breathing heavy. We took her out of the bad place right away and headed to my job (i work at an emergency vet hospital) and got her checked out right away. We gave her some apomorphine to make her vomit and take care of her food bloat and some meds for her breathing. She has lived with us for a week and has been nothing but a joy. I love her and her antics. She loves her brother, the cats, eating, and of course sleeping. She is smart as a whip, at 9 weeks old she knows NO, Sit, Down, Come, Go Potty, Inside and is almost 100% house trained. If we could say the same about crate training, she screams bloody murder when you put her in her crate. Oh yea, she is a 9 week old female blue fawn pit, named Azura but we call her Ezi for short. Introducing EZI!!!

passed our wearing her brothers fleece hoodie, she has since gotten a girlie sweater but I haven't taken a pic of her in it yet.

What did I do?!?!?!

Curled up with her brother Ecko on the big dog bed.

She is a cutie for sure and you both are her saving grace for sure. Bless you for taking her. Those pictures are adorable, especially the one with her big brother. So sweet.

DH's "old college friend", on the other hand, is a TOTAL creep. I would turn his butt in as a back yard breeder. I detest back yard breeders, there are about 10 million poor Pit Bulls living in small cages in shelters all over this country, it is horrible.

Awww... How cute!!!
What a Sweetie!
So, this "friend" of your DH, is he a BYB?

And just curious, forgive me if this is a stupid question: How are pits with cats?

The friend is not a BYB just a dumb kid. My pits are great with cats...matter of fact, Sloth was found by Ecko my other pit. They are best of friends. Ezi is learning about cats right now, she is chasing and trying to dominate them but that is stoping asap. You just have to be on top of things with pits and not let them get away with everything...pretty much the same in every dog. I have some new pics i'll get them up as soon as i can.
