when it is not one... it is the other... Hope needs a vet tomorrow

Ok, so I have been waiting to update this thread until I had definite good news...
Last Thursday I went out of town 5am, and I was VERY scared... Frankly, I was scared I was coming back and she would be in a bad bad shape, and God forbid I don't know what was going to happen... (this was 2 days after the vet visit)
Her appetite was just not there at all, and in the morning I left, her belly was really swollen, felt like she had a lot of gas... I couldn't spend a lot of time with her, to make her eat, as I had a plane to catch. There was not vet to leave her with. All I could do was pray she ate. I did make sure she ate at least a little bit...
The day before I believe she had her breakfast, but not her dinner, or had 1/2 of it.
As soon as I arrived in Vegas for my interview, I called my vet, and I swear, I have no Idea how I pulled that interview off - I was frantic... Crying like a freaking baby.... But I spoke to the vet assistant, and she calmed me down, and assured me she should be fine.
All the while, I was PM'ing Sharky for instructions on what to buy for force feeding her in case she hadn't eaten breakfast and dinner... Got home, went to the pharmacy, got the baby food, syringe...
Anyways....... THANK GOD - she had eaten her breakfast!!! Not her dinner (I had left in the wet food auto feeder). So I made some fresh one and she ate 1/2 of it and then came back for some baby food...
Now as of yesterday I can say that she is finally back to speed as far as her appetite goes. She is finally licking her plate clean again - hers and Bugsy's!
She is now back on ZiwiPeak exclusively, which will break my bank costing $2.50 a day to feed her alone, but at least I know that she is getting the best food she can possibly get, and will not get sick from it... And after this scare.... I Tell you that is PRICELESS....
It was SO scary having her not eating, with an inflame bowel, and a diarrhea on and off for over 20 days... My poor sweet little baby

My vet told me to give her between 5-10 days of metronidazole ... today is day 6... I will give her 8 days, which is the advised for giardia - this way I cover all basis... He said that he felt the way her bowels were inflamed she was probably going to need more that 5 days anyways... I do not want to risk it.
Anyways, she is doing ALL better, playing, running around, happy, cute, trouble maker sweet little girl that I came to love so very very very very very very much!

Well.... I had an excellent interview, from the first round of interviews, I am the top contender... There is another round though...
The top three will go to NY in a couple of weeks or so for another interview; the president of the Company, who interviewed me, said he has a very good feeling he is going to be seeing me in NY, so yes... it does look good... Only after that a decision will be made.
This is a great job in my Industry, and I have tons of experience... If I get the job, it should be great...
But after a year of applying for jobs I learned the hard way to not be over excited about it. I am not making a big deal out of it - you guys will know in due time
Thanks for the vibes though.

I was a Regional Sales Manager for a Company in the Professional Beauty Industry (everything that is used in a beauty salon) - In my last job I took care of the whole Midwest and Southwest of the US, about 13-15 states.... In this job I would be taking care of the 13 western states. LOTS of traveling... NOt office based, I work out of my house... no time to get to the office... My last company was in LA, I lived in Dallas.

that sounds interesting - but not my kinda thing.

so, anyone know of any teaching openings? i'm also unemployed - have been [i.e., no steady paycheck] since september 09

I hear there's a bunch of openings in a school up in Rhode Island.
Don't know if you heard about that...

You have no idea how scary it was... I was praying so hard for my baby to be ok when I came back! Thank God it was only a one day trip, and for a very good reason too!
Next stop NY! Lets hope that time they are all healthy!

... She seems hungry, but not eating a lot. She is eating though, so she is doing better I think. By the end of the day I am pretty sure she will have eaten a 6oz can of food. Not enough, but not an extremely low amount...
I am excited about my job interview... The job is in LA - if I get it I will be moving back to the west coast... I don't get overly excited anymore though... So.... It's been a month since this interview, and since Hope got Sick... She is all better,thank Goodness, and back on ZiwiPeak Venison and Fish 100%, and as treats the three of them get Freeze Dried Salmon. She is doing wonderful since back on ziwi. Thank Goodness!
As for the interview, I received a phone call today...... inviting me to go to a second interview, this time in New York

The only thing is that the Pres. of the Co. is going out of the country, so the interview will not happen until the end of April, but Regardless, this is excellent news! The first interview, in Vegas, was awesome, and I am confident the second will be too... This time will be with the board, so it will be far more formal, and such, but I am super excited!
He did say that he liked me a lot, and that he is very excited to see me again in NY!

The job itself is in LA, which will put me back in my heart city, with my friends... Not only that, but it is doing what I love, in the industry I love.
Anyways... I just wanted to update everybody with the good news...

Absolutely! If I get that job I will be covering the 13 western states, so I think we are going to have plenty of opportunities to meet around!
I can't wait to get back to LA... I miss my friends... I miss walking in Venice... Ummmm...... I miss my industry SO MUCH!!!!!
