Brittany's will have her last dose of Clavamex tonight. Her appetite is going down again. Is it ok to give her 2.5mg of Pepcid AC the same night she's had Clavamex ?

Never give your cat medicine without consulting your vet. Especially human medication.

call your vet

call your vet definitely - but, FWIW, when my little girl (6 years old) was on clavomox, her normally healthy appetite went way down (wouldn't even eat her favorite turkey, or baby food, or much of anything, even the Hills WD the vet gave me to get calories in her) - within 6 hours of her last dose, she was back to normal eating.

Call the vet.
Clavamox can cause loss of appetite.
My almost 18 year old cat can not have it because it makes her sick.
There are other antibiotics you can talk to the vet about.
Do not giive the Pepcid without talking to the vet.
I use it for my old cat with CRFand have used it for my older sphynx when she was sick.
Does she have other medical problems.

Also probiotics are always a good idea with antibiotics... Bene-bac or Fortiflora are great choices.

The Clavamox was given for a urinary tract infection, right? (If I recall)

How has her appetite been during the course of the Clavamox? Not bad? You mentioned that appetite is "going down again" - so how long ago had the appetite decreased?

As Clavamox can be really upsetting to the tummy (do you give it when she has food in her tummy? Good idea to do so), this could be the cause. After she's had the last dose, I'd see what her appetite is tomorrow. I'd expect that after a good 12 hours of having it, you SHOULD see her appetite pick up if it's related to the Clavamox. If by tomorrow night you see no improvement, I'd be contacting the Vet.

Are the urinary symptoms gone? No more frequent trips to the litterbox? Peeing okay?
