We have 6 furbabies. They all are in love with hubby (he's the one who feeds them) anyway, he can sit for hours petting anyone or more of these babies. I want a simple foot rub or back rub, noooooooo!! or he will do it real short time. I find myself forever saying "man I wish I was a cat!!"

You don't purr. Fix that problem, and who knows WHAT might happen?

My hubby likes giving Pico massages, but I have to pull teeth to get one from him. Lol, he says her back is smaller and easier to massage grrrrrrr

I know what you mean. Fluffy gets most of the petting around here, but once in awhile he will tell her it is my turn to get petted. She hisses or squeaks, and within a couple minutes, it is back to her getting petted. She will grab his hand if he is not fast enough, and it is so cute, he just cannot resist. If I massage his hands and arms, she will push my hands away and knead the same spot with her paws. She will look at me, and I swear there is a little gleam in her eye.
It's a good thing she is just unbearably cute.

I laugh, because it's EXACTLY THE SAME for us!

We go to bed, and I try to snuggle up, but I'm "too warm" or he "wants to lay the other way"... So then he goes and calls Evie over, and half the time she doesn't even WANT attention from him! So he has to go pick her up and drag her to the bed and hold her there and the entire time she has this look on her face like "as soon as you let go of me, Dad, I am GONE."

Maybe I should learn from her and just play hard to get.

The other half of the time, she walks right up to him and PLOP right on his lap, kicking his laptop or whatever out of the way and just glues herself to his lap... And he starts loving all over her! If I did that, he'd be like "HEY!"

same here, haha! i wonder sometimes if it's normal to be jealous of my CATS... i see now that it is! bf will snuggle them, rub their cheeks, scratch their chins, for what seems like forever. if i ask for a massage or a back scratch, it's over within a minute. NO FAIR!

i guess it's because we enjoy rubbing the softness of their fur as much as they enjoy receiving the rubbing. the solution is that we just need to grow fur....and purr!
