Gee. Thanks, Larry!

Last Thursday, I finished a particularly stressful Fashion Week. I dress the models. I've been doing it for over 20 years, and I know my job, but sometimes the attitudes of various people (production people, stylists), make it stressful. Such was last week. I had very sweet models, no problem there, but other "goings-on" did not make for an easy week.

So, Thursday, my last day, I was announcing to everyone my plan: After Tommy Hilfiger's show, the last one, I was going home, fill the tub with hot water and a fine, aromatic, bubbling bath bomb, have a nice glass of Jameson's, neat, sitting on the tub next to me, and soak away the tension and stress. Good idea, right? I was giving other people the idea as well. "Oh! What a great plan!"

So, the show finished at 9:00 PM, we packed up, in the midst of crowds, photographers, guests....all I was thinking was about getting home.

I got home, took the litter box out of the tub, cleaned the tub, put the litter box in the dressing room next to the bathroom, ran the tub, it was all foamy, smelling great, got my glass of Jameson's, closed the bathroom door, sunk into the tub......aaaahhhhhh....sublime.

At that precise moment, Larry decided to have the stinkiest poop I've ever smelled......right on the other side of the bathroom door. Holy moly. "Larry. Larry, Larry, Larry." Of course, he was busy covering it up, and eventually the lovely aroma of the bath bomb took over again, but, for a moment, it was really stinky and totally ruined the mood.

But, I guess, once nature calls.......

I usually get the stink bombs just as I am in bed alllll-most asleep.

I can empathize.

They always choose the BEST possible moment, don't they?

Timing!

Oh, yeah. That's happened.....ew.....and the earlier one you mentioned.....just as you're going to sleep.

Think they're trying to tell us something?

Maybe it's payback for our stink bombs.

I'm not sure ours bother them, about half follow me into the bathroom.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't bother my kitty. He usually howls at the door if I shut him out. If I let him in, he sits in the bathroom counter patiently.

That would certainly kill the mood!

My older cat, Callie, used to poop just as we would sit down to eat dinner. I kid you not, almost every single night! Ugh!

The girls' box is right next to the tub. When I am relaxing in the tub, they might lay one on me.
