I never had serious issues with acne as a teenager, and I wouldn't say I've had a lot of spots up until now...
I don't know what happened, but throughout the course of 2 days (yesterday and the day before) I suddently got 9 deep cystic zits on my face. And when I mean deep I mean they hurt A LOT, I look like I've been beaten because there is red all over my face
I feel horrible, like I have to hide and stay at home until they're all gone.
I am calling for a dermatologist appointment tomorrow...
I just don't get it my skin has never been like this. I've had certain times when I've had about 3-4 zits on my face, but never this deep..
This is just horrible...
Does anyone have suggestions? I have a presentation tomorrow too

are you stressed from the presentation? have you been eating anything new or in concentration? years ago (in the 1990s/early 2000s), a skin state similar to what you described (although less severe) could trouble me if lets say i ate omelettes for breakfast, lunch and dinner for 3 days straight

OMG, actually I had a cheese craving two days ago that resulted in me eating a lot of cheese and tomatoes...Cheese& tomatoes is my favorite combination of foods, I pretty much eat my tomato whole and then bite off mozarella cheese ..

Gosh this is probably the problem. I stopped eating cheese and started putting avocados in my sandwiches instead of cheese about 3-4 months ago and I also stopped eating meat (except for fish).. But the other day I had this craving like never before.

I think for one day all I ate was cheese and tomatoes, besides a fruit smoothie.

Did your skin clear up once you went back to eating better foods? Today I had a fruit smoothie and a sandwich with tomatoes, baked and marinated red peppers and avocado. I really hope it helps, because I suspect that all that cheese really was the problem, especially since I hadn't had any in a long time.

The presentation isn't a huge deal, I am more stressed about having to show up with my face looking like this than anything.

if i get any that bad i get some really warm water as hot as you can stand it and put some TCP in in which basically draws out the 'crap' in the spot out then the next day put a dab of aftershave or cheap purfume (not nice expensive stuff) on it which dries it out its worked for me and only takes a couple of days

as for you presentation the only thing i can think of is some flesh coloured eyeshadow or blusher stuff to cover just before you go in then take it off straight after as a really quick fix

well, i'll put it in perspective for you. i usedto have bad facial skin. in the past 2.5 years there have been only a few ocassions where i've eaten cake and egg noodles and anything made with eggs. my skin is clear now.

think it's tough to do? the answer's YES, you bet your golden egg yolks it's tough. (but it's gotten easier) if i have a cookie craving or baked goods craving, i need to make a special trip to the health food store to get egg-free desserts.

a chinese acupuncturist suggested i not eat eggs (incl. any foods made with eggs(!)) back around 2005/06. i was so angry to hear those words come out of his mouth and strongly dismissed the advice at first. i mean, c'mon, how was i supposed to do that? but it's been worth it. due to eggs' "concentrated" nature, some who study chinese food philosophy categorize egg whites and egg yolks as "extreme" foods (even as an ingredient) that pack a powerful punch, especially the yolk. as for cheese, i don't know what the thinking on cheese is

My dad has issues when he eats a lot of eggs, especially cake or some kind of custard, but he gets a rash on his face.
I think it's because eggs are really concentrated in protein, especially the yolk.
Cheese has a lot of protein too, especially since I am not used to that much- i usually get my protein from fish, nuts lentils, beans or chickpeas, and then small amounts from other vegetables, but I rarely get a lot of those most of the stuff I eat is carbs..
As far as deserts I've been trying to stay away from those, I used to eat a lot of deserts and my skin was worse than when I gave them up although nothing like this.
But this seems pretty serious like it happened almost overnight..
My mom is saying I should go to the dermatologist but I feel like maybe I can wait and see if it clears up on its own first.

I break out every so often when I'm stressed, what works well to cover it for a short time is a green concealer (nuetralizes the red) covered by a mineral powder concealer.

It seems unfair that by the time a woman has deep lines and wrinkles she should still have the occaional zit too!

Yea, concealing it will make it a little better but there are bumps too so the texture will be uneven
I will try green concealer. Usually just the foundation works for me but this requires some heavy duty concealing.
I am still getting even more pimples. I got a new one today.

Try swabbing your face with apple cider vinegar....stings like crazy (at least for me) but it kills the acne-causing bacteria and doesn't mess up your skin. It might work.
