Do you have a mixed family of cats and dogs. What other pets do you have other than cats and doggies. I only have my one kitty Autumn but wish I had two or three. So what other pets share your home.

I have just Jake but I wish I had another kitty and a dog. I like Labs though I don't think I'd get a purebred it's just not my thing, i am always drawn to mutts.

Just the girls. Maybe, once I retire, we'll get a dog, too. I've always been a dog person, but never had the lifestyle.

You really want to know.....really? OK, you asked for it, LOL:

3 dogs (1 male Rottweiler, 1 male German Shepherd mix, 1 female Husky mix)

teh kittehs---17 of 'em

1 ferret (male)

2 rabbits (females)

4 Russian tortoises

2 tiger salamanders

a 55g goldfish tank (5 fantails)

a 12g tropical tank

a bunch of land hermit crabs in a large homemade enclosure

All mammals are of course spayed/neutered (yes, the rabbits, too), 'cuz I don't want to think about what would happen if they weren't! Eek!

Just Chester.

Up until a month ago I did have one fish. He was the last survivor of my small aquarium. He was an old fish. And for the last five years the only fish. I really miss him.

2 cats here.

in my un-asked-for opinion
, apartment-dwellers like me generally should not have dogs. a dog deserves a house with a large yard to run (again, just my opinion)

I think some dogs are ok in apartments. My puppy is fine in our apartment since he is not that big and we are ground floor so he does have a grass area to run around right outside the door. Plus, my apartment is very open so he has quite a bit of room to run around and play. I don't think its fair to have big dogs in an apartment. There is someone in my building with a huge german shepherd and I feel bad for it because its way too big for her little apartment.

We have 2 cats and a puppy. There wont be any more animals for us until we buy a house. Someday we want to get a ferret.
