I have a manx cat,im not sure how old she is..because she was a stray that we have taken in.. I know she has had babies before.. I say she is a manx because she doesn't have a tail, and some of her babies before didn't have tails either..and thats the only cat breed I know of like that..

But, she went into heat about 4 weeks ago and I'm pretty sure she's pregnant because she seems to have gotten bigger(but she is very fluffy) and her nipples are large and pink(but im not sure if they are like this from her last pregnancy)

.We keep the cat food ontop of a cat scratching post, which is about 3 feet or so off of the ground....So it requires the cats to jump to..We do this so the dog doesn't eat the cat food..

But today she jumped up, and seemed a bit wobbly..she ate then jumped down, but the jump down sounded pretty hard.. She just stopped and sat down after the hard landing..Then eventually went and layed down..A few hours passed..she had gone to the bathroom and walked around and everything was fine and she ended up laying by the door..She never does that, so I walked over to her and she had a decent amount of blood on her legs, floor, and vagina. It's too early for her to be having her babies..if she even is pregnant..

So we gave her a box with blankets, she slept for a while..Then she ate and cleaned herself, and seems to be better now..She isn't bleeding anymore.

It's saturday and none of the vets are open...
So...
My question is..
Could the jump have caused a miscarriage with some/one of the kittens?
Since she bled out of her vagina, whether it was due to the jump or another possible pregnancy problem(spontaneous abortion, etc), is that a good indicator that she was/is pregnant?
Since, the blood was not ALOT but also not just a few drips..Could her kittens still be ok?
Should I be feeding her Kitten food since im not sure if she is pregnant?

Thanks so much..

Im no vet, so here are guesses. Do talk also with a vet when you come to.

I think it is a safe guess she got an abortion yes. But the blood stopping bleeding, and her seemingly being better is of course encouraging signs. With blood still running it should be a crash journey to any open emergency clinic.
As now you can perhaps await, as they say.
But try to phone one if you can!!!

The kittens are in different sacks, thus it is very possible and not uncommon they are delivered one or a couple of days apart. Or even longer. Without any problems nor danger in cases I talk about. (difficult birth prolonged over a couple of days is something entirely else).

Thus, I gather it is also entirely possible to abort one of the babies, and still carry on the rest.

Is it at all possible to give her food on the floor?? Say, supervised so the dog cant eat...

Good luck!

Is there no emergency vets in your area? She really does need to see a vet asap, and she should really be spayed as soon as possible, it is much better for her overall health.
