There are many Classic Movies, Casablanca is the first to come to mind and of course The Godfather. There will be a lot of different ones here since age makes a big difference on what is classic.

My favorite classic actress is Bette Davis and favorite actor is James Cagney but there are many more.

I can watch Now Voyager over and over starring Bette Davis and I have it on an old VHS tape. I can watch The Godfather many times also.

I agree it depends on age here. Top of my list for classics are Gone With the Wind, The Sound of Music, and Godfather I & II. I have these on either VHS or DVD.

I never appreciated Humphrey Bogart until I saw one of his movies at a regular theater one time. OMG he had presence on the big screen! I did name one of my cats (now OTB) after him.

OH, I
the classics!
IMO, Katharine Hepburn was the greatest actress ever; also love Bette Davis and Judy Garland. Cary Grant, Clark Gable, and Peter O'Toole were not only gorgeous but wonderful talents.
I can watch Meet Me in St. Louis, Bringing Up Baby, All About Eve, The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, Arsenic and Old Lace, Stalag 17, and any Marx Brothers movie over and over. And don't forget the 3 Stooges.
And yes, we have them all on DVD.

As for 'newer' classics---I love the LOTR and Harry Potter films.

A Streetcar Named Desire and Sunset Boulevard are my favorites. Of course, The Wizard of Oz. I have all those movies, but my favorite actor is Burt Lancaster and favorite actress is Bette Davis.

I'm not a big fan of older movies either really. I'll go as far back as the 80's, but I LOVE 80's movies.
My all time favorite is Labyrinth, gotta love David Bowie in tights.
I can recite the entire movie from start to finish.

Me too, I have to admit. There's just something about that movie...getting KO'd in black & white and waking up in color...way cool.

The Grapes Of Wrath. Don't own a copy but I have seen it many times and could watch it again just about any time.

Henry Fonda is probably my favorite actor from way back. Merle Oberon for favorite actress. She was a BABE.
