Howdy From San Antonio!

I've enjoyed the site for quite a while and decided to join. My (much) better half and I were cleaning a road near our home of trash one hot August 5 and a half years ago when we spotted a plastic grocery bag that seemed to be filled with water or liquid of some sort. It was slowly moving back and forth.

Upon closer inspection, we saw 3 baby kittens in a plastic grocery bag tied with a knot, awash in their urine and feces near noon, in August in South Central Texas. My urge to strangle whoever did this took a back seat to saving their lives.

I dropped my wife off at the house and made a mad dash to a PetsMart about 2 miles away. I arrived home to find 3 little heads poking out of a big, clean bath towel. They were hungry, and let us know it! After eating formula and licking a "mush" like nutrient from my finger we placed them in a little nest surrounded by items to keep the Musketeers from wobbling around and risk getting rolled over by my wheelchair or stepped on.

We didn't think we could manage 3 kittens, so we set off to the Humane Society and found rules that kept them (our 3 new pals) from being accepted. Not the least of which was a weight requirement. These guys were much too small. So, back to the house we went.

Long story short, we made two more trips to the Society. Two had made the weight..one was still too small and, being through so much together..probably brother and sisters..we decided on the trip home after our third visit to make them members of the family. In reality, no one could pry them from our hearts and arms.

If there is a way to post pictures, I'd love to introduce you to "Mama" (named so, as she kept them alive while suffering that horrible experience), "Sweetie Pie" (as adorable as they come!) and "Mr. Ears" (Thank God he grew into them!) They will be six this August and we can't imagine life without them. Thanks..I hope you will accept us here at your sight. Johnny / San Antonio

Post your pictures on one of the free hosting sites, such as Photobucket, copy the url for each picture, then post it here, using the picture icon (looks like a mountain with the sun over it) to insert the url into your message.

Thank you, Mr. Blanche, and c1atsite! We appreciate the welcome and the instructions on how to upload photos of our little rascals! Driving the highways and byways of this great country must be incredible! I'd love that! Especially with feline companionship!

c1atsite, our oldest daughter lives in NYC with her hubby and new baby boy in Battery Park! Spent 3 weeks there in October. Loved it, but missed our rascals at home. I failed to mention "Twinkle" and "Ricky Bobby," our outside pals! Life would be grim if they discovered we left them out! :O(

Thanks, Johnny
