Has anyone ever had that done to their cat to try to diagnose liver issues. It is then the cat is fasted overnight. They draw blood, then feed him and then draw the blood again.

Marvin had this done when he was a kitten to rule out liver shunt as a cause of his seizures. After the fasting, he was given a high fat food (forget which one, I think it was canned Hill's a/d), and then had his second blood draw.

I am very familiar with bile acids testing because my dog has liver disease and we run this test every 6 months or so. Did you have some questions about it?
