My cat thinks he's a dog

Hey guys-
I need some advice: I have a very smart 2 year old male who is out of control. He is very smart: He plays fetch, meows in different tones, opens doors, drinks directly out of the spicket, takes my clothes out of the hamper and takes them to the laundry room and he even goes to the bathroom and flushes the toilet...he is absolutely amazing, but the problem is he is into everything and never seems happy just relaxing like his passive sister. His most recent stunt was watching television where he got so into the show(a puppy chasing a butterfly) that he jumped off the 6 foot cat condo and attacked the TV knocking over the flat screen and breaking it. I don't know what to do to make this animal happy. Regarding toys you name it he has it: the 6 foot condo, balls, mice, things that hang from doors. He's just not that into his toys. Don't get me wrong he's a very loving boy, but I want him to be happy and I want to be happy and need advice so that he will stop tearing up my house. Thanks for the advice!

I'm eager to hear anyone's advice as well. My 1 year old acts like a dog/raccoon/meerkat cross. @__@ Not as destructive, but definately a ball of energy and desperate need for attention.

Have you considered leash training your kitty and maybe taking him outside with our for some walks.

Or if you are able to, an outdoor cat enclosure. This worked wonders in helping our kitties burn off their excess energy. For some reason they really loved being outside.

Oh, also is he a particular high-energy breed?
