Hi, I'm new to the forum, have been reading through all of the posts and it sounds like y'all are a good group to pose my question.
I adopted two, 9 week old kittens from a feral rescue league 3 days ago. One of the kittens, Whiskas had diarhea when they rescued him but that seems to be under control with Albon given .75 per day. The problem is his poor little rear is swollen very badly. I brought him to the vet who gave him Panolog ointment that I have the joy of putting on twice a day.
He has been treated for round worms, tested negative for FeLV and had a distemper vaccine. I'm to go back to the vet in a few days. He is eating and drinking well and using the litter box, however he is very uninterested in playing and a bit lethargic. By contrast, his sister, Millie is a healthy and very active kitten. I guess I would feel poorly too if I were him. Even so, I'm very worried about him, and am wondering if any of you have had any similar experiences.

I am afraid I dont have any experience with this problem at all. I just wanted to welcome you send my best wishes that your kitten will be ok. I am sure someone with experience will give you some help.

I would say that as long as he's eating and drinking and using the box, he should be ok until you take him to the vet in the next few days. He may just be tired from being ill and doesn't have the energy to play. But be sure to tell the vet about this when you get there. If you're uncomfortable with waiting for a few days, just give them a call and tell them what he's doing. They'll know if you should bring him in. Good luck! It's hard when the little ones don't feel good.

And welcome!
