Stupid cravings!

Where can I buy green tomatoes this time of year?? I was making fried chicken last night, with mashed potatoes, gravy, cornbread and corn so I decided to watch Fried Green Tomatoes. Now I want to eat some Fried Green Tomatoes!!!! I dreamed about them all last night.

I don't know, but when you find out and cook some up let me know! I'll be right over! I haven't had good fried green tomatoes in FOREVER

Well, I'm determined to find some. I'm slightly obsessed, googling greenhouses in the area. lol. But I heard that green tomatoes are toxic. So I'm not sure if I should risk eating them since I'm pregnant. Some sites say frying cooks the toxins out, but I don't know. I really, really WANT some though! Why isn't it summer?

I'm laughing at your pregnant cravings! At least it's something reasonable, and not gross combinations of weird food.
I've never had fried green tomatoes before, must try them one day.

If you can't find green tomatoes....consider fried pickles and ranch dressing!!! It's my new obsession!!! They're AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! AND now I want some haha!!!

Oh okra sounds good too!!! Omg I want fried things now Soo bad,....but sooooo tasty!!! I typically don't uncontrolably crave things, but the past two weeks I have been starving for fried cheese sticks, fried pickles & ranch, dill pickles, orange juice and potatoes with sourcream & butter. Last week I had poor Jack drive me to Wendy's at 1am so I could get a potato I'm weird haha!! Sometimes living in the South is a curse isn't it????

OMG, I keep telling DH, let's move to the south just until I have the baby.

Hmmmm, I have never tried these items...

Fried okra is one of my favorite foods of all time, Trouts mom you have to try it sometime.

Ya!!! Jack took me to Huey's tonight for dinner!!!! Fried pickles were involved!!! They were ohhh sooo amazing!! I decided to take a picture and post it I'm slightly embaressed, but it was worth it!!

I've taken pictures of the food at restaurants before!

ive never had fried pickles before havent even considered it

i often take photos when im at the chinese because the make swans out of the tomatos or the cucumber

It was really easy. I used dill pickle chips. I just mixed flour with some pepper, a little cayenne pepper and some garlic powder. For my wet mixture, one egg and some buttermilk. First I dipped the pickle in flour, then the egg mixture, then in the flour again. I fried it on medium high heat. Then turned out amazing considering I've never made them. Then fried pickles I've had before were like, the little cucumber kind breaded and fried, DH and I didn't care for them. But these, with the pickle chips, YUM!!

Sadly, I've come to the conclusion, I need to lay off fried food until my morning sickness is over. I'm craving it, but it makes me throw up, even with my medicine.

hahaha i watched fried green tomatoes last weekend and then of course wanted some very much. I am also craving apples. I dont know why. I HATE apples!
