This photo was taken in 2006.

It is very easy to take pictures like this in this country.

Reminder: Only one guess per username. 10,000 points to the first person with the name of the country. I will never use the same country twice. All of the pictures used I have taken. It is one of 64 countries that I have been to. There are 194 countries in the world at last count (wiki).

What country is this?

can we post a list of the countries who have already been featured? I know all you have to do is search the forum, but that can take time and some people aren't as familiar with the forum features...
I have them all written down now, but maybe I can save time by posting them??
Persi & Alley let me know if you think that's a good idea because I want to be sure.

Probably not, but we do have a lot of streets like this in Brasil, so I am going to Say Brasil... Nothing to lose anyways besides points!

1. Click on Search and then on Advanced Search
2. Enter What country is this in the keyword(s) box
3. Click on threads started
4. Fill in Persi & Alley as the username.

You will be presented with a list of all contests to date.

BTW, there are no correct answers yet. In Cuba you will see cars everywhere from the fifties but this country has cars (still running and in good condition) from well before that. Note the cobblestone streets. I am a ferryboat ride away from one of the largest cities in the world.

I'll be back online in the morning. Hopefully to see a correct answer.

I know it's very easy, but just in this thread 3 people out of 8 made guesses of countries that have already been used for previous contests..
It seemed a lot of people aren't catching on that's why I was asking. But, if you think that's part of the challenge I understand

Good luck guessing everyone

I'm going to take a wild guess and say United States.

I've seen store fronts like that in some mid western towns.

I'm too lazy to go thru all the posts to make a list of countries.

I'm convinced I've seen a place like this on House Hunters International. But I can't remember, so I shall go with Columbia again.

Does Sicily count as a country as it's an autonomous region of Italy?
Somehow that picture has a 'mafia' feel to it..

Well, about an hour and a half left in this contest so here come the big hints:

The official language of the country is Spanish although the city I am in speaks Portuguese since it (the city) was a former Portuguese colony. And If it was a former Portuguese colony, it must have a coastline...

If no correct answers in the next 1 1/2 hours, pot doubles next week! With your list and the hints I have given, there are only a few places left it can be...
