Ysterday I thought I would have a ham sandwich. I pulled out the ham, thought it was strange there was so little since it was a new package. (OPened the day before) Plopped it on some bread and ate it.

It tasted a bit off, but I didn't think much of that because I've gotten used to things not tasting quite like I expect them to. After I ate, I felt a bit icky. My tummy was gurgling, churning, hurting, and I felt a bit sick. I've been dealing with stuff like that for so long, I thought nothing of it, and figured I shoulnd't have had a ham sandwich. Or maybe the potato chips (I shouldn't eat) Got to me.

This morning I got into the fridge and found the NEW Package of ham waving and smiling at me. UGH!! The ham I ate was at least 3 wks old. No wonder I wasn't feeling well yesterday and today. I'm an idiot. I didn't even think to smell it. Yeah...
So... I'm cleaning house, and getting ready to move the washer and drier tomorrow on a not so happy tummy. LMAO What a moron... OMG!!

SO I guess I need to be more careful!!

Be safe.

Ew. As long as you don't get any sicker you should be ok. Lunch meat ham is full of so many preservatives that I don't think it goes bad quite as quickly as some meats would.

It might be time to clean out the fridge, though.

Forgive me, but that made me laugh out loud.
I can just picture the look of horror on your face as you realized it was 3 week old ham....
I hope you won't get too sick though. Perhaps its time for a fridge clean out...

Well isn't somebody special?!

Hope you don't get too sick- definitely monitor how you feel and if you get any sicker, I would totally go see a doctor if I were you. Sending in hopes that you will get over this food poisoning soon!

I find a lot of humor in my stupidity. I am so scared of eating bad stuff that it just baffles me that I did it. I'm feeling much better
I just had an upset stomache, nothing bad. Few trips to the bathroom and my body was a bit happier. LOL
I told my DH about it and he just shook his head at me.

I agree with the clean out the fridge idea. DH Usually does it, but we've been busy the last few days helping my bro out, and hanging with him while his heart heals from his break up.

Fridge clean... tomorrow or tonight. Not sure if I will actually get to it tonight, but... I am going to be much more careful!! After the stay int he hospital, and low heart rate n stuff you think I'd be more careful... LOL

I just hope I learn from this mistake!! LOL

Be safe.

This reminds me of the time my best friend went down stairs and found her dad sleeping in the recliner with a opened pack of ham on his belly and a slice of cheese in his hand.

LMAO they had to throw the ham out since they didnt know how long he had been like that!

I hope you feel better soon!

When I was little I used to fix sandwiches for my dad and put an assortment of things on them. He would always make a big fuss over them, like they were the best sandwiches in the world. Well, one day I fixed him a sandwich with sausage on it. He took a bite of it and what a surprise! The sausage was raw! I didn't realize that unlike lunchmeat, sausage has to be cooked.
