gmail issues?

Is anyone else having gmail issues? I have two gmail accounts, one I can access fine but the other keeps timing out, or will tell me I have 5 new messages when I have 1 or 10 etc when I can get it - then when I try to access the message it automatically signs me out again

are you fully signed out of the first account before logging into the 2nd? i heard some people are able to sign into 2 gmail accts at 1 time. i've personally never done that. i don't know why anyone would.

My suggestion is that you move to another large capacity provider that doesn't have shady privacy issues...

Gmail, Chrome, their intention of launching an os, etc all creep me out. But the average person doesn't care if they're installing spyware.

I have my own email through my website too

Its a junkmail account I have to click a link to get access to a website that I need, if they want to read my junkmail, they can!

Yes, I do log out, and it lets me log in but the number of messages etc is messed up, the other account is fine and my BF's account is fine

I have tried it in Opera and Firefox at home, IE at work and my phone and its doing it on all computers, so definitely a gmail and not me issue - they just introduced 'buzz' so it may coincide with that but that shows on my second account without an issue - but other than that I don't have any gadgets etc on it as I don't use the account for anything but junkmail

It's possible that's the problem. Anytime anything new comes out for anything there's the risk of bugs - if you're lucky they're minor, if not they seriously mess things up.

I'll keep looking to see if I find anyone else having similar issues, I'm usually pretty good at finding out stuff like that.

Any other details?

I set it up to download them as pop mail and they came through fine on thunderbird so I will just check it like that - no idea if I am missing emails though

If you want to try to get rid of buzz on the affected account, this tells how.

I'm looking through recent bugs seeing more for different add-ons/plugins and contacts.

ETA: Not seeing anything specific to your problem that would be recent. There's other, older bugs that have been fixed/sort of fixed, though.
You might try stripping your profile down to basics, remove any sort of extras you have, and change the UI to an older one? If that solves the login/out issue, slowly start adding stuff back. In a situation where you can't see any sort of error log, trial and error is about all you have.
