I leave for a 10 day vacation,leaving my wife home(she had to work) with 3 cats,dog

On the 10th day, i pack my luggage and start heading home a 5 hour drive

I just entered my home state about 90 minutes from arriving home when my wife calls and asks where are you now. I said i just entered the state. She said
about 30 minutes ago the cat(baby-- i am closest with) just went to the window sill and started staring out the window where you usually park. She didnt do that once the whole 10 days you were gone. 90 minutes later i arrive and the cat was there in the window sill.

Very cute! I also think they know. My mom was visiting and she and my boyfriend were waiting in the living room of my apartment for me to get home from work. Neko comes out of the bedroom and sits infront of the front door of the apt. A few minutes later I walk through the door and my mom tells me the whole story.

I totally believe they know!!! I have had these experiences with other cats in my life. Bella, however, is always surprised when I come home. And greets me like we've been a apart for 100 years

I think my Charlie doesn't know when I'm coming home. Every time I go home I always see him sleeping then as I enter the room he will say "meow" with his eyes close, then if I call his name "Charlie" he will make a long high pitched "meow" and will go back to sleep

I don't doubt this for a minute!

Osiris is always in the window waiting for us to get home from work, no matter what shift we're on. I look forward to seeing that precious face! Then when we walk in the door, he gets SO excited to see us that his tail twitches!

I believe cats do have this kind of "6th sense" but my cats just stay asleep when I come in, probably because I'm mostly always home, we haven't been o holiday for 6 years so I will do a test when we go in september x

DH tells me that about 15-20 minutes before I get home, both cats get very agitated, and start milling around. Swanie is always there to meet me at the door, and often so is Cindy.

I live in a condo and there's people coming and going all day. Somehow Albus knows when it's us coming home- you can hear him meowing from the lobby (we're on the second floor, and there's an open stairway to go up). At least, I hope he doesn't do this everytime he hears someone outside the door.

I don't think he does because if I'm home and he hears my fiance coming home, he'll run to the front door, but doesn't pay much attention when he hears someone else out there.

yeah i believe it to, Flash used to (when we were in the flat) used to run to the top of the stairs to wait for blaine getting in, sometimes she used to run to the window about 10 minutes before he got home and then as he was pulling in the street run to the stairs
