I agree- from the cats that I've had and fostered, most cats are weirdo's when it comes to drinking. Pirate for instance will first dip each front paw in the water, then he curls up next to the water almost like he's protecting the water bowl from others while he's using it. Then he proceeds to stick like half his face in the water. Seriously- almost his entire neck is dripping wet after everytime he drinks. Then there's Taylor, who has depth perspective problems in the first place and it's like she tries to scoop all the water out of the bowl (hilarious to watch btw)Originally Posted by otto
That's really cute, though I'm not sure it has much to do with her vision. Most of my cats have funny drinking habits.
Ootay had to splash in the water with both paws, like she was playing a drum, splashsplashsplashsplash, and then enjoyed licking it off soaked paws, and the floor. Mazy has to pull the water dish across the room, dip her paw a few times, take a few false starts, before drinking. Tolly has to dig all around the water bowl, and circle it a few times, before drinking.
Cats are mysterious creatures, after all!
