I have a foster cat (Bonnie). She came to me as a pregnant outside cat. She has come a long way in the friendly department. (she has been here a bit over 2 months) Here is her problem (the one that might prevent her from finding a home). She bites when she gets excited. Not viciuosly. It is usually when she plays or after you've pet her for a while. I have been telling her "NO biting" and getting my hand away from her. But I want to be able to teach her NOT to do this so that when she goes to a new home she doesn't get returned with the lable "NASTY". HELP

Bravo to you for being a foster mom to this cat. Believe it or not, what you describe is a pretty easy behavior to modify. Please click here and read the thread about stopping aggression. If you look at the section on aggression due to overstimulation, you will find the answer to your problem.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.
